Five Guys continues to impress. Went for a late one with colleagues, and it fulfilled every one of my usual expectations. The staff were extra friendly, serving us free fries. As we were about to leave at 10pm, we noticed two guys who were trying to get in just as the staff were about to close — the staff graciously let them in to the triumphant delight of those customers. Was also lovely to have Five Guys within O2, which felt a lot like a typical mall on the west coast. Would definitely return without hesitation.

Sunday afternoon, I was super hungry and had about 1h to kill before Spectre. So the missus and I opted for burgers and chips. Five Guys happened to be the first one we saw so we just went there! Well, it’s a Five Guys Unilocalers… What did you expect? Same burgers, same fries, same speed… Bref, it’s the Five Guys that you know. If anything specific to this one, I would say that the team is very lovely. And patient, which is very rare in fast food restaurants. Because of the ATP Master’s, the O2 was incredibly busy that day so I guess that’s why they had so many customers then, all handled very well. Chapeau guys, will come back next time I crave a quick burger before a movie!

Dirty junk food at its best. I always feel filthy when eating a 5g burger and love every second of it.

My friend’s daughter wanted to go there, so who am I to argue. I’m not keen on fast food, and this place was quite daunting, trying to order. There was so much choice and then you can add 11 toppings, which are all free. Did not want a burger or a dog so settled for the BLT, and was asked what extra toppings I wanted? So I went for lettuce, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms, and realised afterwards BLT comes with lettuce and tomatoes anyway, duh! But didn’t notice extra lettuce and tomatoes. So after ordering and payment you get given a ticket, and when someone behind the counter shouts your number, you can go and collect your food which arrives in a bag. It took a while for them to call out my number, but once armed with my bag, I went to join my friends at the tables outside where the BluesFest was in full swing. Live music while you eat, nice. Pity the food was not as good as I was made to believe. The BLT bun and contents were quite soggy. You do get quite a large portion of chips which spills out of the cup into the bag, and they were quite nice. It’s nice to be able to order a beer to go with your meal too.

Just what the O2 needs! A place that can do reliable food quickly. After seeing queues out the door at other places, we were relieved to turn around and see Five Guys(it’s kind of hiding behind Pizza Express). The food was as it always is at Five Guys, with decent burgers, unlimited drinks, and WAYTOO salty fries. 2 of us each had a burger, shared a small fries(and it was still too much), and shared one drink(free refills FTW) for £20 total. Sure, it’s not McDonalds cheap, but I enjoy it more, and don’t feel like yuck after eating it. A reasonable start for an evening at the O2! Kept us full all through the concert. Just bear in mind that if you’re a drinker, getting a big milkshake and burger and then going to a concert and bouncing around your milk and beef filled stomach, which you’re topping up with beer, is a mistake.(Not a drinker but I got your back, dawg.)

Getting food before a concert at the O2 is often difficult — for example, we went to TGI Friday’s first but for a table for two there was going to be a half hour wait. So we wandered on and got as far as Gourmet Burger Kitchen before deciding to turn around and go back to Byron — and it was only then that we spotted that the O2 has a Five Guys! Excited — I’m a big fan of the place as not only are their burgers of the type that I like(thin patties with uneven edges) but you can get whatever you want on them. What followed was possibly the easiest time we’ve ever had getting food at the O2 — we walked in, straight up to the counter and ordered. That never happens. In fact, we were just extremely lucky as a queue developed shortly afterwards — but it was moving at a fair pace as the speed of production at Five Guys is very scalable and the kitchen just didn’t get behind. We also found that the tables opened up really quickly as well. So what else to say — well one of the drinks machines was leaking and two staff members were fighting back the tide with rolls(and rolls) of blue tissue paper. Meanwhile there was some severe slobs eating there as a group of four just left all their rubbish strewn across the table — then the next pair sitting there sat down, pushed everything to one side, ate and then left their crap on the table too. Needless to say, the restaurant didn’t have sufficient staff to keep up in the kitchen with that queue, prevent a biblical flood out of the coke machine and clear tables!

Great burgers consistently, but this venue generally has little to no queue which makes it a fabulous option if you are trying to taste the burgers but don’t want to queue in the rain(like in central London branch). I’d go All In and get all the toppings, its a taste sensation. Don’t go too wild on the drinks mixing though — grape still fanta is not a mistake I’ll be making again!

Perfect location for pre movie snack; had a banana milk shake the first time here and let me tell you: This is a whole meal! Seems pricey, but I’d say it’s worth it (Don’t understand how the tourists wanna get the«all american experience» and have a burger with a shake(pro tip: they do NOT give out cholesterol check vouchers, bring your own!)

After my first(and only) experience at Five Guys in Greenwich Village, NY, I thought I’d take the opportunity to visit the branch in Greenwich outside of NY. After my mistake in the US of ordering the normal burger(2 patties) I opted for the little burger(one patty) with cheese, grilled(sic) onions, pickles, lettuce and lite mayo(was available on request). It was simple, and it tasted good. The burger was large enough, though I wasn’t sure if the patties are made a little smaller for customers outside of the USA … The burger tasted good, although you if you’re looking for a medium burger, look elsewhere(e.g. GBK next door), as the burgers are pressed thin on the fryer, and are thus always well done. As Five Guys famously fries their burgers, I’m not sure how they grilled the onions, given that they don’t have a grill on the premises. I suspect they were fried, and should have been advertised as such. The fries were also good, made from fresh Norfolk potatoes — not as think as the French, and not as thick as the British varieties. In place of the typical US drinks fountain, this branch had machines with a screen, where you could select among a large range of drinks(there are free refills here as in the US). Unfortunately, this is much slower, and it also means that only one customer can be served at a time — and one of the two machines was out of order during my visit. Because the menu has been kept simple, there aren’t really any desserts to keep kids happy and occupied — we had to go somewhere else afterwards.

Love this place! A Lot! Lets be clear — I’m actually going against my dietary requirements when I go here, but its so yum! I always get a small burger(there are two choices) and with cheese but not bacon. I really enjoy the simplicity of ordering which ever toppings you wish, so i just get everything i like. These drinks machines coke do are in there now — except there isn’t a coke Life for anyone who likes that. There are never any queues at this one, unlike the covent garden store. The burger its self is somewhere between burger king and byron burgers, 100% beef patty(yum!) fresh tasting, but very american feel — and again — the pricing is also somewhere between burger king and byron burgers too. The small fries are plenty — and I’m always full with a small fires and a small burger — rather than getting frustrated with how expensive it is compared to a fast food place — imagine to yourself how much a meal out would have cost and then suddenly five guys is spot on — cos you can also get beer! Yay for five guys why — 1. Simplicity of menu 2. Simplicity of product 3. Good burger 4. perfectly located next to my favourite cinema 5. Queues are few and far between. could work on. 1. Staff levels of joy 2. Gluten free bun!

Burgers delicious as usual. A little expensive for a fast food place as burgers are up to 8pound 60. Chips were slightly on the salty side for me but i do not cook with salt at all. I still ate everything. Wide choice of beverages from the unlimited refill machine Quick service for a pre show meal at the 02

Okay, been holding off this burger joint for a while. So what is the fuss about. It is definitely not serving gourmet, and makes no claim of it, this is fast food, but a «little» cheeseburger which is essentially a normal single pattie burger comes in at just over £5, and a normal cheese burger(2 patties) at £8. With drinks and sides — you are looking to pay over £10. Hmm… I think that’s steep. But you do get free nuts. The food is not bad, fresh soft and squidgy bun with decent quality burger and choice of toppings. I went for grilled onions and mushrooms. Its not a bad burger, but its also nothing special. In my photos I try to show a good burger, it actually looked more demented when I first unwrapped it, the chef was quite heavy handed when packing my burger I guess. Chips was good, and was probably my favourite, chips with skin, couldn’t stop munching on them. Tip– ask for small fries, they usually over top it, so its enough to share between two. Drinks are bottomless and comes in a huge variety. Service– same like any fast food restaurant, get your food and try to find a clean table to eat on. In my case ask the Mrs to find and hold a table first whilst I wait for the food. Overall enjoy the experience, but find it pricey for what it is, would probably pay a little bit extra and enjoy more of a dining experience.

Five Guys — In the UK what more could you ask for! Having experienced the ‘real’ American Five Guys whilst on holiday my expectations for Five Guys in the UK were very high and I was not disappointed. The staff really make the experience and this particular branch(there are LOTS of new branches opening in London atm.) has an amazing team. The service is efficient but really friendly and you’re made to feel at ease right from the off. The temptation to order a burger here is immense, but if you appreciate a decent hot dog, I can promise you won’t be disappointed with what’s on offer, especially if you ask for the chilli topping with a side of fries and a bottle of Corona — a perfect start to a Friday evening in London town. Having read reviews for other Five Guy’s branches here in the UK, I feel I need to make it clear this place is likely to be one of the best fast-food burger/dog places you’ll ever eat at in the UK but it is still fast-food. Please don’t expect super duper gourmet burgers as you’ll only be disappointed. What you will get is super soft bread buns, moist meat patties and delicious toppings with generously seasoned fries made in branch from local potatoes at a reasonable price. Top-tip: The portion sizes for fries is quite large(1 frying basket per portion) so if there’s more than one of you you might be best off sharing fries!
