The perfect coffee fix and still open at 6pm when most coffee shops have closed for the day and Shoreditch is preparing to party but it’s actually too early for a cocktail. I was happy to see that I was not alone with my craving for one last coffee before starting my round of gallery PVs. It’s all been said before and Fix 126 is not dissimilar to its many neighbours, choice of espresso-based and drip filter, pastries and smoothies, all neatly listed on a blackboard. I like the chipboard benches and the relaxed atmosphere allround. But most importantly, the coffee is ace and noone looks at you in a funny way when you ask for a cappuccino at night …

I like coming here and the coffee is great(as are the staff) but their pastries(at both Fix cafes) always seem to be at least a day or two old which is a real shame. They look delicious too which makes it a bigger disappointment! Time to switch your supplier guys

Best coffee shop I’ve found yet. Incredible coffee, a great selection and a really nice space. Will definitely be coming back for another v60 filter!

Wow, was I missing a nice coffee last few days! #SFCoffeeSnob Friendly staff, very tasty pastries, very well made coffee(I had a latte), complimentary wifi, nice mellow music, laptop desks wrap ½ the place. What is there not to like? If in the neighborhood and looking for good coffee or to just work on your laptop for a bit, stop by here!

This is Fix Coffee’s little brother. I’ve been here a couple of times and still, I like the other location better. Why I like the other location better? It’s cozier, warmer, nicer. Less tourists, less hipsters, less wannabes. It’s just neighborhood peeps, and local coffee fans, so if you want that walk a few blocks and see for yourself. Good thing about this place: you can sit on the bar near the windows, great for people watching. It’s only a few blocks from most stores in Shoreditch and bars & restaurants if you want to grab a bite/drink.

Great coffee and atmosphere but RUDESTAFF. The two women this morning were so rude it must have been exhausting for them. They frowned vigorously to every person they served. No smiles, no hi how are you, no thank you — even when tipped. The owners I can only imagine would be outraged.

Tried my first Flat White here. I’m more of a tea person but I’m interesting in starting to try coffee for when I need higher caffeine content and I decided to come here based on location and reviews. I was expecting a something smooth and creamy and that’s exactly what I got, very delicious and I am very happy :) Price wasn’t too bad either(from a personal perspective). I read all the previous reviews before coming here and I agree with the most recent review before mine(24 March); I think the service could be a bit more friendly… But I’ve only been here once and it is not enough to stop me from coming back here again.

This is pretty much how I want every coffee shop to be. Fun, intimate but with tons of seating, lots of staff working behind the bar to get the drinks made quickly, a wonderful spot to get some work done or just grab a coffee. The menu for Fix 126 is written behind the counter on a giant board. It’s mostly your basic coffee options although there are a few fun twists. You can get a frappé with«1 whole banana.» Written just like that. The atmosphere in here is great. Different sized tables and chairs throughout the space making working or chatting with friends easy. Even though it was packed we still got some working space at a counter. A great use of space. You need a specialized code for the wifi and it lasts only an hour. Ask for it up at the counter and they’ll give you a little slip of paper. I actually got confused and tried to use my friends one that she was already logged onto. Nope, you need a new one. Wish they would have told me this so I didn’t spend five minutes trying to figure out why her wifi worked and mine didn’t, but alas. The wifi was fast though and worked really well even though everyone else in the room was using it too. A great spot and if I’m in the area, I will be back.

Finally, Fix126 — I made it! And then I made it again, 2 days in a row. And I like it. I really like it. It’s a smallish shop that packs in a lot of seating, but organized seating. Not that bullshit kind of seating that coffee shops/cafes tend to sprinkle about. Chairs that are 3 mm off the ground, random tables in the middle of the room, etc. No, Fix is legit and organized, the tables sturdy and every window lined with a bar and stools that are the damn appropriate height for sitting. Glorious! Staff is quite friendly, maybe a tad aloof — but we are drinking coffee in the ‘Ditch, so we will survive. The *wifi is fast and strong and free, and the coffee is all of those things except free. But, it’s fairly reasonably priced. Will add it to my rotation. Find it much more relaxing to enjoy a cuppa than Shoreditch Grind — but if you are going for super mellow head to Bird & Ballard. Fix is a nice mix somewhere in between and I found the balance led to some extreme productivity. Maybe it was because I felt I was racing the wifi clock(have I finally found a way to trick myself into working more efficiently!?) — but I dig it. *Free wifi for one hour with purchase(ask for code). I am fully supportive of limited wifi allotments, as it keeps traffic moving and squatters move along elsewhere. I had just enough time to plow through a few emails and get some work done while enjoying my chai latte. If you can’t get it done in an hour, get a workshare. *Great paninis! Goat cheese, spinach and fig relish… grab from the cooler, and they’ll press ‘em piping hot for you to eat in or take away. Very nice. *Close pretty early(7pmish)

Yep. It’s official. This is now my favorite coffee shop in London. The only drawbacks are the free wifi is apparently only for an hour(and you have to ask for the username & password) and it’s not open that late(doors shut at 7pm). But let’s get into why it’s good. The exterior walls are windows with long counters set up around them. Lets lots of natural light in and lets you stare at all the beautiful people of Shoreditch stroll by. This is a great place to work, read, and study. Outlets for your laptop are in abundance and surfaces clean. I sat here over two hours and didn’t feel like I had overstayed my welcome, which is a big plus for me. Skinny white mocha ran me £2.60. By no means a bargain, but it was quite possibly the best coffee drink I had ever tasted – uncannily smooth. I wanted to lick the inside of the mug clean. And that I know jack about the finer details of coffee and noticed this made me feel it was worth it. Their baked goods looked(and smelled) amazing as well – I’ll be hitting that up next time. Relaxed atmosphere, quality products, pretty people. Now to get on a first name basis with the hipster baristas.

First off, there are places which serve better-tasting coffee than Fix which are much nearby, so if you’re in the area mainly for coffee, then I wouldn’t recommend Fix. Fix uses coffee beans from Climpson & Sons, one of London’s more well-known roasteries. However, beans are themselves not an indication of coffee quality, so I’m forced to conclude that the lack of coffee brilliance either lies in the skill of the baristas or the machinery used. In any case, what I’m getting at is this: if you want good coffee, there’s a great place just about five minutes walk down the road which serves just that. That being said, if you’re looking for a nice, bright, airy place in which you can chill, then this would certainly fit the bill. On a nice, sunny day, Fix is one of the better places to be, because, I don’t know about you, but I certainly like to be able to enjoy the sun on the rare occasions it’s out. Also, there’s a nice plushy sofa area right by the windows at the back that looks really comfortable. And, lastly, this place offers free wifi and opens late enough(till 6 pm, I think) which makes it one of the nicer places for working in. A caveat though. Cleanliness doesn’t appear to be their strong suit. I was here recently for about an hour, alternating between sending e-mails and reading a book. I moved seats twice. The smoothie cup I left behind at my first seat wasn’t cleared at all in the fifteen minutes I remained in the café, despite it being clear that absolutely no one belonged to that empty, plastic cup.

My wallet is sad that I discovered this place. It is too convenient. And good. Now I will be stopping in here all the time. I also this the space is more conducive for sitting around than, say Shoreditch Grind or Allpress. For non-coffee drinkers, the Chai Tea Latte was quite nice. Their pastry also look good, though I’ve not tried any yet. At least it isn’t RIGHT on my walk to work…

My local coffee shop is a winner! Which, in turn, makes me feel like a winner but no one is giving ME four stars… That’s another issue altogether… I am SO glad this place opened because a delicious, chain-free coffee shop was sorely lacking on/near Curtain Road. No Pret for me, please! The Flat Whites(or Flat What, as the menu says) is so delicious that I buy way too many, and I’m worried that I will someday turn into one. The staff are appropriately, super hipster. They are nice though and always make my drinks with care. They have free wi-fi which I have yet to use, but it’s good to know it’s there!

Oh cafes, why don’t you get that internet brings bizness. If I like your coffee shop and I become a regular then I will spend lots of money here in the long run. So why, WHY, would you put an hour limit on my wifi usage? Shortsighted, for sure. That said, the space at Fix 126 can’t be beat. It’s incredibly light with wood, bricks and leather interior. It’s got a nice plenty of outlets, which implies a friendliness to computers… so again, why the hour limit on internet, if one’s allowed to recharge devices? Yeah, don’t get it. So close to 5 stars, and yet so far.
