Love, love, loveeeee this place! So, I got invited to a lunch here with two fellow Unilocalers and damn this one invite I’m glad I took! The food was simply divine and considering I try a lot of Caribbean places that is saying something! I went for a two course meal and a side! So much food, but dammit I was super hungover! Jerk chicken skewers cooked to perfection for a starter with a tasty honey & mustard salad and the obligatory sweet potato fries, which I live for. Mmm hmm mmm! Ah so good! Despite being quite full, I had the sea bass for the main. It was a lovely large fillet with pickled vegetables and presentation wise, was completely on point! The girls both had the sweet potato pie with rum cream. Oh my! I tasted a bit and it was incredible! I swear if I had any appetite whatsoever I’d have lapped it up. No words for how much I enjoyed this place and I can’t believe it’s only 9 months and ran by two lovely people! It’s sooo worth making the trip, even if you live on the other side of London. Make it a Christmas present to yourself!

I have been here before but didn’t have my phone as I was so drunk that I left my phone at home. I wanted to come back when I was sober so I can try more of the menu and actually remember what I had. I absolutely loved it, the food, hospitality, everything about it is so cozy. The food is west indian cuisine and it is authentic. Freshly made on site by an authentic chef and it is spot on. We checked out the Christmas Menu. The food was gorgeous, I had the boneless curry mutton with white rice for mains. The curry mutton was amazing, The lamb was juicy, tender and so soft, just how I like it. The white rice was nice but I prefer my rice with butter in it. I had sweet potato pie with rum sauce which was gorgeous. The sweet potato pie was so tasty and the pastry was buttery, flaky just how I like it. The rum sauce was amazing, it wasn’t too creamy or runny, it was the right consistency with the right amount of rum so it wasn’t overpowering. I will definitely be back.

Came here for a Saturday lunch to try their new Christmas menu and wasn’t disappointed. For£12.95, you get to choose 2 courses from a variety of options between appetizers, main courses, and desserts. I chose the chicken jerk stew as my main and the pumpkin pie with rum sauce as my dessert. The main course was quite sizable and I ended up taking half of it home. The chicken was supreme: Well seasoned and moist. The pumpkin pie and the rum sauce… Well, they were almost instantly gone. We even got some Christmas goodies of tiny pots of Caribbean jam! Very festively decorated for the season and the lady who runs this place was such a pleasure and made sure we were content at all times(is even quite honest about her own opinions on the food) :)

Note my review is of the food, not the venue, as I ordered delivery: Fish: undercooked, overpriced and horribly packaged. Imagine receiving a steamed whole fish wrapped in tin foil, leaking oil and fish juice. The banana cake: very overpriced and bland. Jerk chicken: average and overpriced. I’m sorry to be so negative, but my experience was awful
