Chocolate lovers unite! For Foodies, no trip to London is complete without a visit to Borough Market. Dating back to Roman times, the present site of this world famous market is just a short walk from Tower Bridge. Open just three days a week(Thursday-Saturday), this expansive(but often crowded) market offers something for every taste. The sites and smells are absolutely amazing. There are few places in the world that one can experience so many culinary traditions side by side. Nestled amongst these is the Flour Power City Bakery stand. They offer a wide variety of breads, cakes and pastries, but the main attraction is their famous chocolate brownie. Quite simply the best brownie I’ve ever tasted, you won’t regret fighting the crowds to try one first hand! These brownies travel well, so if visiting Borough Market falls toward the end of your trip, you might want to bring some home and share with friends. Every Friday, I would tuck into an FP brownie and it was all taken away from me when I left the country. I didn’t know, how could I? That this would be the finest brownie I would find? So, with my eventual return, there was indeed a silver lining, in that I am now only a few hundred miles from my nearest and dearest, and last weekend, you were indeed mine. I haven’t even started on the bread…
