I originally came to Fordham through Wahanda because it was on a good deal and I can proudly say this is the first hairdressers in London that I have returned to. I have found my hair saviours! Plus their really friendly and Katrina is a great gal!

I appreciate the time my stylist took with talking about what sort of cut I was going for and listening to my suggestions. I like my cut. My complaint is more with the venue– I was expecting it to be a more glamorous salon and in reality it is a very tiny salon with limited seating inside. This is not someplace I would come to relax if I wanted a pampered experience. I wasn’t offered any alcoholic drinks but it was around lunch time so maybe they offer it more at night? Was expecting the salon to have been a little bit more of a pampering experience for the money.

If you walk into a hairdresser’s and are greeted by a smiling receptionist with«hello darling, take a seat while i get you a drink and your stylist will be with you in a moment. What can i get you?» Well, you instantly know you have come to the right place. And my experience continued to be great when my stylist Charlotte took ample time to understand what I wanted and came up with the idea of how to do it. I want to grow my hair long again and getting through this in between stage is a pain. But Charlotte had the right idea, was absolutely delightful and I left the salon feeling gorgeous. Well, stunning, apparently, as i was told on my return to the office ;-) A great experience in a nice, stylish Soho salon with the friendliest receptionist i have met in ages and a smiley, friendly and very helpful workforce. I will be back! oh and the best part: I went there with a Wahanda voucher and this has been the first place where I was treated with the same courtesy as all the other customers. they even agreed to book me in at short notice. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Fordham is the type of salon that you walk in and get offered either a glass of champagne or a bottle of beer. I think it’s called getting off on a good foot. The stylist that cut my hair no longer works there, but the ethos of the place is reflected in all their stylists; they sat me down, discussed and listened instead of just going ahead and chopping as they want. The hair cut i received was very very good, but it’s such a subjective thing that i can’t promise it’ll suit you. Since my haircut the the salon have ‘kept in touch’, frequently sending me updates and offers — sometimes up to 50% off which is useful because the salon is expensive(between 50 and 80 quid a cut and blow-dry). This seems steep, but it’s worth it considering how much you pay at hit and miss chains like Tony and Guy.
