Oh, Garfunkel’s. I don’t know how to tell you this, but we will have to break up. I haven’t received such a bad customer service experience in quite some time. Granted, towards the end you tried really hard, but it wasn’t enough to make up for your failings. I can’t even fault you for your food, it was good, exactly as I expected from you. But the service, oh dear, the service! When we arrived, everything seemed fine. The server was nice enough, we got a table immediately ordered and received drinks quite swiftly and waited for another friend to arrive. Once everyone was seated, the service got progressively worse. We had to get the server’s attention to order, had to repeat our orders multiple times as she didn’t seem to understand English too well(eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, those should all be in a server’s repertoire, no matter their level of English proficiency) or was really not paying attention. Food arrived in a timely manner and was eaten and enjoyed. Then came the dessert order and here’s where it got really bad. The server had to be explained who wanted to order what several times and still didn’t seem to quite get it. Instead of asking or even sticking around for a summary, he rushed off. We then received half of our order. Again, he didn’t stick around for us to ask for the missing«Queen of Chocolates», just rushed off and ignored us hence. We finally got his colleague’s attention, who did apologise but then rushed back with some kind of messy abomination that looked nothing like the Queen of Chocolates(hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows and a Flake), without a saucer and dripping with spills, plopped it on my napkin and turned away. When I got her attention to ask why I didn’t get marshmallows, she physical checked my friend’s cup to see if he had had any, when she saw he did, she agreed to get me some as well. What? Seriously? She was jusy SO rude about it. In the end I wasn’t charged for the hot chocolate, but I’m still not going to return as the staff seemed very careless, inattentive and rude. It’s too bad, as the guys in the kitchen seem to know what they’re doing since the food was really nice.

Went to the O2 to watch a show and came here to grab some dinner before the show started. It being a sold out performance, there were tons of people there, and each restaurant had a queue(30 min wait+). However, this restaurant did not. So, on one hand it was good that we were able to get food in time, but also probably meant other people knew the food isn’t as good. I ordered the BBQ Burger and asked for no tomato. The waiter repeated/confirmed this. When the food came, there was half a tomato inside, which was mildly annoying. What was actually annoying was that the burger was just so sad. The meat was big enough and the bun was toasted, but there was a microscopic piece of lettuce and only one sliver of onion. If the chef competed on Hell’s Kitchen, they would’ve been ground to a pulp. The only final criticism is that when we were finished, and as the show was about to start, we had to wait quite a while for the bill to arrive. I had actually raised my hand all the way up like a school child and was still ignored. The servers were more busy clearing tables(even though no new customers were coming) than getting patrons out the door. We eventually made it, but it seemed like a lack in priority for a restaurant based on O2 performance ticket holder customers.
