Situated next to the Monocle Shop on George Street in Marylebone this tiny storefront had enough of a jumble of things in the window to beckon me inside to have a look. A careful scan of the coats yielded nothing but then I hit the jackpot in the scarf rack, scoring a unique and tasteful one for less than a fiver(about $ 8 for those of you following along on the other side of the pond.) This small charity shop is certainly worth a browse when in the area.

A charity shop dedicated to the blind. The earnings from this store go to the The blind society. A tiny shop, this place is run by lovely elderly people who take turns. They have a large collection of ceramic and tableware and also a collection of books and dvds. But don’t be surprised if you find the odd exclusive fashion lable or the Salvatore Ferragamo shoe. I love their jewellery section which has a few good art deco pieces and some very trendy modern jewellery. They are always an inspiration in my design creations and seem like collectables. The only thing is since its an independent charity the opening timings are a bit temperamental. You might be disappointed to find it closed sometimes. On sunday they are shut for business.
