Gloucester Place Hotel

I wish the service had been a little better. We were here last week, and when we arrived, they had managed to LOSE our reservation. Eventually did end up staying — but had to move three times in a 7-​night stay.
Still, the location is EXCELLENT, just a 4-​minute walk from the Baker Street tube stop. The street is quiet. Rooms are very clean, but in that well-​worn, older European hotel way that some Americans can’t stand. I like it.
Our double en suite room (s) (we had two, #22 and #26) were both in the basement of the annex. Plenty big, with fridge, microwave, kettle, A/​C unit, and well-​stocked tea/​coffee tray. We were able to save plenty money by shopping at the local Tesco Express for picnic items and snack food.
Free continental breakfast can be delivered to your room! Nice one! We will definitely stay here next time we are in London.

Nettes kleines Hotel in zentraler und verkehrgünstiger (Bus!) Lage. 10−15Min. entfernt sind 3 U-​Bahnhöfe.
Die sehr kleine und bescheidene Rezeption ist im Untergeschoss. Sonst alles angemessen und funktionstüchtig, recht sauber und nicht zu eng. Kühlschrank war im Zimmer. Das Bettzeug wurde allerdings bei drei Übernachtungen nicht gewechselt.
Das inbegriffene kont. Frühstück war OK mit Variationsmöglichkeit (kein Büfett). Wasserkocher mit Tee/​Kaffee vorhanden.
Badeutensilien reichlich.
Personal bemüht und freundlich.
Kein Lift! Ingesamt empfehlenswert.
