I haven’t been there in the morning so my expressions are only from the bar. I like their sharing platters reasonable price and a lot of choice. Goes perfect with a good company. It’s opened till midnight so you can spend some time with friends after work and you don’t need to be in a hurry. Nice place but not the cheapest. Staff is also not the most friendly. They might try to be more kind with the customers.

Glow offer a great variety of Shisha flavours. The self-incending charcoal does not taste very well, and plastic pipes are aweful.

A lot has changed here, once was a real decent coffee /Internet café, which then started serving beer service was still ok plus they were open during the day as well as evening. Last year or so has seen it turn more into an evening bar but that could still do a decent weekend breakfast, but last visit was really shameful Sunday morning, staff looked worse then hungover, not massively busy with about 16 people in ordered breakfast, waited 20 minutes for a coffee then after half an hour for the food we are told there’s a long wait, kitchen short staffed there could have not been more then 16 meals on order during whole time, however seriously could not cope. If your thinking save your morning and go to the georgian who also do decent full English now

This is a really nice place with amazing food and really nice staff. The cheeseburgers are lovely, the meat great and the chips not fatty! We were really surprised! As amazing the food was as bad were the cocktails unfortunately. So, don’t even try the Mojitos, they are not worth it.

Who doesn’t like brunch? And when you’re hungover and wondering just how many BLDs(Bad Life Decisions) you made last night, then brunch is a definite cure all. In our quest to try all the places in Clapham, two fellow Unilocalers(Tracy L and Du Hy T) decided to nurse our aching heads at this small bar/café. First point in its favour is when the smiling waitress pointed us towards the plush leather couches rather than a table. While such a seating arrangement makes eating a little trickier, the comfort factor knocks any such worries out of the park. Second plus point — the smoothies. They come in two sizes, regular and large, although why they bother since the large is only 40p more is beyond me. The smoothies are soothing and refreshing although my Mango Mush could have used a little more mango in my opinion. Then again in my opinion even mangoes need more mango so I might be slightly biased. And now the food. Eschewing traditional breakfast foods, I went straight for the house burger with cheddar cheese, the token lettuce and tomato, crispy bacon, and what was described as «Satan’s chilli». The fries were advertised with«chicken salt» which was a huge hit with my Aussie friends. Sadly, when said fries appeared there was no chicken salt to be found. The burger itself was tasty and satisfying and the chilli added a nice kick though by now means worthy of the fires of hell. Note: On Mondays you can get two burgers for £10…pretty good deal if you ask me. Our waitress was very friendly and considerate to the fact that we were all groaning. Also appreciated the friendly chat as we paid our bill and the fact they didn’t mind that we lounged around for another hour after eating and paying. Overall, like the place, food was good, but nothing really special to draw me back on a weekly basis. Prices are a bit on the expensive side but not unreasonable.

This little bar is fabulous for grabbing a bite to eat or enjoying a cocktail whilst looking out over clapham Common. It is really close to South Clapham tube station. It provides a good selction of food and snacks for a small place. The food is fresh and delicious whilst the service is impecible. The desserts are a fabulous treat as are the cocktails. Great outside area for warmer days and evenings but also room inside if it gets a little chilly.

I adore the Glow Lounge. It is cosy little bar just opposite Clapham common and great for a cheeky mid-week, or pre-club drink. And always the place I go when I have a stinking hangover. The cocktail list and menu are excellent. A great hang-out!

I can imagine this quaint cocktail bar hoppin’ in the summer on the Common. Newly decked and umbrellaed, I was tempted to pull up a seat outdoors and wait the weather out — call it a self-Boozefilling prophesy. But since the recent weather has been colder than Britney Spears’ comeback career, I gave up quite quickly and opted for the indoors, which was in fact lovely. A minimalist Ikea-ish bar area morphs into a small wood-paneled back room complete with cozy leather chairs, couches and screen — great for settling in for the night with a small group of people, or popping by at the beginning of an epic evening. Classic old school cocktails play nicely with new school favourites(think Miss Dirty Martini meeting up with Mr. Sex on the Beach), complimented by the playful attitude of the bartenders who put a bow on top of the already beautiful experience. Two cocktails downed and two thumbs way up.

Lovely little place — the food is simply yummy. They do a fantastic hangover fry-up, yummy coffees and smoothies and they have free Wifi — excellent combo. The staff are really friendly too and I love all the Australian goodies they have there :)

Located right on Clapham common, this is a nice little café with a lot of outside seating which is perfect for a summer day. They serve a decent breakfast menu, but it is quite expensive. Their food menu is a mixture of burgers, pitta and they do an amazing house salad. Come night there is a full bar with a vast cocktail menu and DJ’s spin some tunes. They also have screens that show the latest sporting action, so hangover breakfast and the footie is very popular here! Really great in the summer, you can even just pop in, grab a coffee and take it out onto the common.

Glow lounge is a cute little bar on Clapham Common South Side. Its smaller and more intimate than Gigalum next door and has an extensive lunch, smoothie and cocktail menu! On Saturday night I tried the Kentucky glow — a mixture of bourbon and freshly crushed rasberrys and passion fruit — delicious and different to anything I’d tried before! I’ve had a small lunch there before — just a greek meze type thing which wasn’t that well done but maybe I picked badly! All in all it’s a pleasant little place with a chilled out atmosphere.

Funky café/bar on the edge of Clapham Common. Coffee, snacks etc and cocktails in the evening. Try the fresh fruit smoothies for the perfect hangover cure! Nearest tube station — Clapham South
