I was hungry, having clocked my walking at just under 8 miles today, so I was I afraid to order. For starters I ordered the watermelon soup which was very interesting and tasty, however I probably wouldn’t order it again because it was filling. I also ordered the truffle and Gorgonzola pizza, omitting the sausage and adding basil. That was delicious! My friends ordered beef carpaccio, tuna tartare with watermelon, linguine with shrimp and a pizza of some sort with meat on it. I did not try theirs, but they seem to quite enjoy it. The service was good and friendly. And while I was a guest and did not pay, the prices I noted were quite reasonable.

Where oh where do I start? I was here last night looking for a good time and even better cocktails! Did I get either? N-O!!! I was led downstairs into a pleasant 1940’s kind of bar which was nice but the floor hadn’t been cleaned in that long! My shoes were stuck to the ground. Manoeuvring around was like walking on the moon! yuck! And the cocktail I had was a watery mess! I almost gave up on life at that point but kept the faith and ventured on! We were then led to where we would take part in a masterclass! The dingy dirty mucky stairs we climbed almost made me wretch! I mean when was the last time they had a health inspector in that place? Must be crawling with the plague! … Anyways, the masterclass was over packed and therefore we stood for the whole 3+ hours of it. At this point I had to zone out and find my happy place! Thank god for the multiple cocktail samples! The owner yapped on and on and on and onnnnnn! What a terrible evening! My feet looked like an extreme case of elephantiasis by the end of the night and my eyes were red with desperation and fatigue. Avoid this place! Not worth it at all!

Nice cosy place that I very much liked. With inspirational cocktails, to say the least!

If you want the Chelsea vibe with Battersea prices this is the perfect place to go. We visited the Goat on a Saturday to celebrate a friends birthday. It was super organised with a set menu, the food was delicious and then we could venture upstairs for some cocktails. All you need in one place! although the only down fall was there wasn’t much room too dance!

Some of my best memories of last summer include sitting outside at the Goat, drinking one(or 3) of their bloodies(extra spicy), in the London sun. They also have super cute hidden rooms upstairs — and a hidden bar — as well as Cocktail master classes twice(?) a month. A couple people mentioned it being pricey, but everything on Park Walk tends to be priced around the same, and once Gordon Ramsay’s new spot(finally) opens a few doors down, I can only imagine that will be even more the case. Highly recommend!

After a long and late finish at work(just opposite the Goat) this place is perfect for some downtime. Weather you’re just popping in by yourself for a quick drink or with a group of friends, it’s open til late on a weekday and weekend. Service is awesome and friendly so if you’re in the area, come to this place! X

J’y retournerai.

Went to a free rum cocktail experience at Goat. It was really good fun. An intimate room with its own bar and a really interesting and informative talk about rum with some lovely samples and anecdotes thrown in. The pre-experience drinks are on the pricey side. The cocktails are cheap by comparison(rums start at £7 without a mixer for a pour not a measure) but they know their stuff and love their booze and all that enthusiasm was infectious.

Upon walking the Fulham Road, there were so many options, but for some reason this place appealed to us. We stopped to look at the menu outside and the hostess popped open the door and handed us the menu and welcomed us inside. Nice job! Once inside, we found the location warm and inviting. The hostess seated us and took our coats. We were greeted by a waiter/manager I believe and the evening began. Specials were rattled off and decisions were made. We choose the meatballs, n’duja sauce and I choose the mushroom risotto as my main. The meatballs were very interesting. In a good way. The combination of pork and sirloin was a nice mix, which provided a grounded bite and the sauce, a tomato base, complimented the meatball perfectly. My main arrived, a healthy portion of risotto. The first bite was very tasty indeed, with an earthy tone and the risotto had a firm texture. However, as I continued to finish my main, the original tones seemed to fade a little. Not sure why this was exactly, but I would imagine drinking white wine with this probably wasn’t the best choice. It was my choice and not that of the server. My friends enjoyed their selections as well.

Yum! My only disappointment here is not being around for when the DJ really got his groove on. We headed here following a disappointing dinner at Admiral Codington. Drinks: The cocktail list is about two pages long of interesting concoctions — my favourite being«The Fitzgerald». At 10 quid a drink it’s not that unaffordable for the area and the quality was obvious. It would appear the menu is seasonal. Service — Okay. It was quite busy with only two waitresses and a couple bartenders(you sit and order and have drinks brought to you). There were a couple times when our orders were taken and then had to be repeated or didn’t come at all. By the end I had ordered a drink that hadn’t come for 30 minutes only to have the waitress realise at the end and bring one over on the house. Vibe — the upstairs bar area had a number of comfortable tables including a couple nooks to get cozy. We came around 830 and left by 11– right when the music appeared to be picking up– would definitely come back if in the area again.

I only visited Goat for drinks but… My friend knows the owner, so she booked us something special. At the top of the stairs, there’s a SECRETDOOR that leads to a SECRETROOM that has its own bar and a few select seats. Before I die, I want secret passageways in my home. So this was a dream come true for me. We sat in this dark, secret clubhouse for a couple hours and I enjoyed a cocktail that had absinthe. Of course, this room is secret, so you probably don’t believe it exists. And I probably shouldn’t have told you. But it was awesome.

Pretty cool looking pub. A bit pricey, but their burrata pizza with prosciutto and rocket is excellent. Staff are super nice and accommodating. A bit on the pricey side, but this is South Ken, after all.

I am afraid but I would give this venue no more than 1 star for one main reason. The place is nice, but the price of wine by the glass(rather mediocre even the most expensive ones) is extortionate. In addition to this, the staff is rather cheeky(although this must come from the management). I asked which white by the glass wine they had and the barman rather than giving me the list, recommended one, which was his favourite. It was decent, although not exceptional. Anyway I do not really expect to drink excellent wine, not even in glorified pubs, so I accepted the recommendation. I also asked for some nuts and I was presented with a bill of more than £15!!! The wine was one of the most expensive on the list and the nuts even more expensive than at the Dorcester. Is this a way of fleecing customers? I have never worked as a barman, but if a client asks me for the list, I would give them a list. If I really want to recommend a wine, I’d go for a reasonably priced one, rather than one of the most expensive one. Mainly because woudn’t like to embarass the customer or be seen as if I am trying to take advantage of them, regardless whether were are in Chelsea or not.

Really poor ale choice and poor food. Change in management now, lets see if it is any better. Will try to get by there in the next few weeks.

I love goats. They’re pretty much the sweetest – and probably one of the dumbest – creatures on the face of the planet. This goat, however, is not quite as charming as the googly-eyed dairy goats on my grandpa’s farm. This one is all chi-chi and well, very Chelsea. It’s meant to be a hip New York-style eatery. And it sort of pulls off the New York loft atmosphere, but other than that, it just comes off as very full of itself. The staff is a bit haughty and the food just OK. Our party of four shared some charcuterie, under-seasoned tuna tartare, and calamari to start. The pizzas are where they really hope to shine. They come piping hot from the wood-burning oven with a blistered crust and a plethora of options for topping(very American). It’s decent pizza, but there’s much better(read: more authentic) wood oven pizza to be had out west. Saporitalia on Portobello Road beats it by a mile. Will this goat in lipstick outlast the stodgy Goat in Boots pub that it replaced? It’s probably still too early to say. Of course, it’s just uppity enough, that it may have the staying power needed for its Fulham Road address.

The Goat in Boots is an ordinary pub you would find in London. We had the standard fish and chips fare here, and it was not particularly impressive. It was over battered and came out very greasy tasting. Service is typical European style service ~ unattentive. Prices were decent based on London dining standards. Overall, not a super impressive experience.

Unexceptional pub, which fails to capitalise on its excellent position, slap bang in the middle of the Fulham Road«beach». The décor is strangely off-putting, with a lot of new-looking dark wood somehow stifling the atmosphere. The bar staff seem oddly disinterested, and the beer quality is variable, at best. The main redeeming feature is the outside space which has west-facing tables to catch any sun that decides to put in an appearance. Something of a disappointment.

Went for a date with an English bloke… and neither of us knew the area and had picked it out of convenience for being halfway between our respective abodes. Bad idea… It’s your standard grotty pub, devoid of any character whatsoever. Plus, the food looked completely unappetizing. Never, ever, would this become my local? Only redeeming quality is the number of picnic tables set outside. One of the few pubs in Chelsea you can enjoy a pint outside in Chelsea and not have to queue for hours.

Not what I expected when I saw the name of the pub. I thought it would be a more old fashioned establishment. This is actually a more modern trendy looking bar, with a couple of big screens for sport. They do serve 1 ale but it was a fairly expensive pint of spitfire at £3.40. They haz a couple of papers to read too. I was having trouble deciding between a 2 and a 3, but then like an aural bad smell, The Lighthouse’s Families Lifting wafted towards meand made the decision a simple one.

This place is very popular with youngsters from Fulham and Chelsea. It’s the perfect rendez-vous venue if you are planning a meal in the area or the ideal place to ehad to after supper for a few chilled drinks. They have a seating area outside so very popular with smokers but the inside is really snug and cosy with dark wood tables and cosy benches!

A fun place to be, with wooden benches and tables outside — a perfect place to have a drink in the summer. The music inside can be too loud at times, and some of the staff are unfriendly. But don’t let these two things put you off, as it’s worth having a drink there.
