Godiva Cafe

Service was extremely welcoming and it feels like an extra indulgence while doing Christmas shopping at Harrods! The white chocolate chilled chocolixir was decadent, creamy and delicious, and my friend loved her dark chocolate one! I wish there was a Godiva café near where I lived but I would be so tempted and gain so much weight. We only ordered the chocolixirs but other things that caught our eye were the fondue, pastries and the truffles. True chocolate heaven is here at Harrods Godiva Café!
The chilled chocolixirs are basically milkshakes but the best gourmet like milkshakes ever and are garnished with whipped cream and a piece of dark chocolate!

The first time I came here was in Feburary after a bad interview. Perfect place for a lift me up! Was greeted to a nice, spacious, white décor café and I knew I was in good hands. I browsed the delectable menu and chose the Citrus and Passion fruit dome — citrus and acidic fruit from all around the world. Fluffy yuzu marshmallow, lemon mousse, passion
fruit and orange jelly, encased Godiva milk chocolate and served with Mango compote and a Hot Dark Chocolixir — three indulgent layers: warm chocolate ganache, steamed milk and milk foam. Sheer delight, felt like I was on cloud 9, the citrus dome was magnificent, probably the best little dessert I have had in such a long time! Cut it through with my fork gently and all the layers sat perfectly, sheer amazement, the yuzu is a great match with the passion fruit, a sense of sweet and sour. The hot chocolate was pure heaven, presented in a tall glass, looks a bit heavy on the palate, but its actually not! Very comforting during the winter months!
Highly recommended. I brought a group of friends the second time and opted for the Godiva Tourbillon Warm Chocolate Fondant — a cocoa rich cake with a Godiva Tourbillon 85 chocolate baked inside for a melt-​in-​the mouth experience, served with a vanilla bean ice cream. Was actually really nice, I wouldn’t say the best I’ve had, but nice for a warm summers day.

Service was excellent, and my treats were amazing. The warm chocolate fondant cake with ice cream and strawberries made my trip complete. My milk chocolate shake was just the right size. This spot always delights, and makes my trips to London complete.

Where else in the world can you get a chocolate pizza?! This was basically a very thin round chocolate brownie, topped with cherries, cream and chocolate sauce and served with a delicious sorbet. Honestly, it was beautiful. Can’t wait to go back, but might have to work out for a few months first so that I can actually eat it all to myself ;)

Try the Hazelnut Delice cake and their Chocolixir drink. We thought we woudn’t finish such a chocolate-​loaded meal but we did. I particularly loved the cake. The bar staff also recommends the Chocolate Sin Cake. Quality chocolate indeed!
