A winner of a classic corner pub. Very small inside, with tons of character. The beer selection is pretty regular, with the usual suspects(Guiness, Fosters, Peroni) on keg. Usually there are 1 – 2 interesting options from smaller breweries on cask in addition to London Pride. The real gem is the ambiance. The bartenders are always wearing white shirts, there are lots of comfy places to sit. Thursday and Friday nights are singalong nights, with a piano player and everyone else pitching in on classics. Honestly we had no idea this was going to happen, and it still stands out as one of our best memories early in our move to London. Definite recommend.

Very small pub just off the Marylebone high street. We came on a Tuesday, so we had no problem finding space at one of the three tables, although I could not imagine this place on a busy night as 20 people would definitely fill up the entire area. As noted in another review, the only television is very small and was turned off — is it ever turned on? — so this is not your pub if you want to settle back with a pint and watch some football. Great place to sit and chat when you have it to yourself like we did.

Very nice, cozy little pub. One small TV was tucked in the corner(and thankfully turned off). We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and nearly had the place to ourselves. Great place to sit and chat – I’ll consider that fifth star after a few more visits.

Small, friendly, good beer and most importantly here in the upper Arctic radiators. A lovely little spot, tucked away from too many of the mwah crowd around here. With a nice little group of locals. Definitely worth the five minute walk from tourist town.

Nice little oasis found meandering down this curved road. The locals chatted us up, and seemed friendly. They were out of London Pride beer, but there are enough suitable substitutes. It’s a tiny but cozy bar inside, and prompt and friendly service. The street setting is almost bucolic, with a lot of ivy on several of the surrounding buildings. Nice outdoor stools to enjoy a fag and finish a quick pint before heading to the next place in this quaint street. No cards, when I was there, and a small sign stating such. Bring your cash and enjoy a pint. Not sure if food is available but I don’t think so.

Great little pub tucked away in Marylebone, feels like a little local — friendly staff and a nice crowd. The piano player is fantastic!

No problem giving out 5 stars here. This place has so something special going on. The décor is great, the seating(outside and in) is wonderful, and above all, they have sing-songs in the evenings that create the best pub atmosphere ever! If you are out and about in Marylabone, this pub is a must.

I love this pub! The later it gets in the evening, the more fun the Golden Eagle gets. Go after 9pm and prepare yourself for a massive sing sing! Piano, singers and all. It’s fun to gather round and join in on the singing with a pint in hand. It’s places like the Golden Eagle that make me just love English pub culture.

A little gem of boozer, it seems so out of place — in both time and location. You really wouldn’t expect this to be so close to Marylebone High Street — a traditional old pub, seriously cosy with some lovely beers on tap — a fine pint of Pride and the Tribute is lovely too. Highly recommended. Try visiting after 8pm on a Thursday or Friday for the piano player — you’ll be singing along to We’ll Meet Again in no time!

Popped in here last night after dinner and had a rather pleasant pint just before last orders. For some reason someone had left a pile of pirate DVDs on the counter outside, so I found a copy of Coco Before Chanel in my handbag this morning. Strange. But, as pubs go it’s alright. I don’t think I spent enough time in here to say if it’s worth going back. There’s stools outside, it was pretty quiet. I don’t think I’d make a special effort to come back, but I wouldn’t mind winding up in here again.

Delightful small traditional pub with a few locals in it. Outside it says, friendly Cornish atmosphere and it is indeed a friendly place where the barman still chats leisurely to the customers — seldom nowadays. Three handpumps with Fuller’s and St. Austell’s with a pint of Tribute costing 2.95 Pounds.

This is a smashing little pub full of character. I use it when meeting a friend of mine who works nearby and it’s just such a welcoming place. It’s a PROPER pub — it’s not a bar or a theme pub and it hasn’t yet been bought up by one of the conglomerates. It serves good beer(Tribute) and a range of lagers all of which are well kept. It is used by people who appreciate such things — it may appear rough and ready but it’s a proper London pub hidden away amongst the back streets just North of Oxford Street. It is well worth seeking out

This pub is really hidden. It is located behind Marylebone High Street on a tiny street and seems little known, a rarity for a pub so close to Oxford Street and the surrounding area. Sometimes packed with people and at other times totally empty, it is never possible to predict how you will find this pub. Entertainment on a weekly basis is provided by a pianist which seems to transport the pub back in time. It usually has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. For pet lovers, there is even a resident cat. A good selection of beers is also available.

Marylebone is chock full of posh joints, so this little gem is a welcome break. A proper local, serving Cornish Ale(if you’re into that sort of thing) and several good gins(if you’re not). Try and visit on a night when the piano player’s there — Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays — for a rollicking singsong featuring war ditties sung by those who actually remember them.
