The Green Man, on Essex Road, is one of those pubs whose décor hasn’t been updated since the late 80s. And neither has it’s clientele by the looks of things. The atmosphere is almost non-existent — their only saving grace being a high ceiling and some big windows. Fine for a beer if you’re walking past and feel like an ale, otherwise probably give it a miss.
