Greenwich Peninsula Practice

Excellent practice, never had any problems getting an appointment at a convenient time and I have never seen more than 2 or 3 other patients in the waiting area

This practise is, in my view, one of the best kept secrets in Greenwich. Tucked away on the Peninsula, in designer style premises, it has a large spacious waiting area which in my experience rarely has more than a handful of patient’s awaiting their appointments. Receptionists are excellent as are the doctors. Appointments are easy to access and the general atmosphere is professional, very human and responsive to realistic needs. From personal experience I can only assume that the overall ethos of the practise stems from the very humane approach of its founder, Dr Jan-​Mohammed. At a time of personal family distress many years ago, Dr Mohammed was said by my child’s school to be the ONLY GP who they had EVER known to attend a meeting at the school. A practise that walks the talk in a way that I suspect rarely happens despite all the political statements regarding the need for integration between different statutory services. I can only wish that other practises could grow to be able to provide equivalent health care for their patients.

i’ve never reviewed a doctor’s surgery before, but everyone I know seems to say I hate my doctors, I can never get an appointment and I’ve never had this problem.
They’re different here. The receptionists seem to care about you to and they’ll give you as much advice as they can, make sure you see the right person. Make you feel like someone is going to help you with whatever is wrong.
It’s a nice place. The doctors I’ve seen are lovely. they have a tendency to rush you a bit — but that’s typical of any surgery I think. But I can always always get an appointment. Even the same day sometimes. They do things right.
But make sure you go through the door that says reception above it — otherwise you’ll walk into the school next door and be very confused. Happens all the time.

When I went to this NHS practice for the first time I was really impressed. First of all they have a website where you find all the information you need beforehand. I got an appointment immediately when I asked for it. I’ve never had to wait for more than 10 minutes. The practice is very modern. Several GPs practise there. The staff is friendly and it is a very well organised team. The practice is fully accessible for wheelchair users and buggies.
