The Harvey Nichols location in Knightsbridge is the flagship store for the British department store. The entire fifth floor of this beautiful store is devoted to several restaurants(Café and Terrace, Yoi Sushi, Kurobuta, Polpo, Burger & Lobster) a gourmet Foodmarket, Grey Goose vodka bar, and wine shop. There is an express elevator directly to the fifth floor on the Sloane Street exit which is great if you are in a hurry for a quick lunch or if you want to eat after the main store closes. The fifth floor closes at 11PM and 6PM on Sunday. There is a wide variety of menu options and cuisines(European, Japanese, burgers, Italian, fresh juices) to satisfy almost anyone. Or you can simply take a break from shopping and have tea or coffee in the café or on the rooftop terrace. Some nights feature live music. The food was good and the service was attentive. You can book a table on-line at .

Usually decent food and you may need to wait to sit down although the wait time isnt too bad. The outside terrace is good place to sit on a warm clear day!

Nice place to just chill out. I like the smoothies a lot. There is also WiFi that’s decent when it’s not busy. Weekdays are really not that busy.

A friend and I came here in the summer for a cocktail and to sit outside on their terrace Very pretty area decorated with fake flowers and grass and staff very friendly We knew the cocktails were going to be pricey but the jug we chose was also tasty! overall on a sunny day well worth a trip however there are other bars that have nicer views!

Define irony. How about Americans learning how to make classic American cocktails in a Cocktail Masterclass in London being taught by an Italian named Stani! Although the event was a bit ironic, it didn’t take away from the amazing time we had and the nice buzz we got from making libations and meeting new friends at the Fifth Floor Bar at Harvey Nichols. THEMASTERCLASS If you want an excuse to sip an apéritif before 10 in the morning without any judgement then you should attend a cocktail masterclass like we did! For just a few GBP’s we were able to: — eat a light breakfast — learn about classic American Cocktails — make a cocktail of our choosing — eat a nice lunch to help soak up the alcohol The class is taught by Master Bartender Stani Visciano – who is just a doll. He keeps the class fun and interesting and you will walk away with a better appreciation for the art of mixing cocktails. THEDRINKS As we mentioned before, the theme of our class was the«U.S.A. Cocktail». First, Stani demonstrated how to make the following drinks which we were able to sample: — Cosmopolitan: yes, they went there and even referenced Sex and the City — American Beauty: we totally thought this drink was made in our honor — Fifth Floor Mint Julep: this was delicious, you know I love my Scotch Whiskey After the demonstration it is then your turn to jump behind the bar and create your very own cocktail! There were eight to chose from: 1 Ginny Hendricks — simply delicious 2 Bramble 3 Cosmopolitan — Truly a classic 4 Mojito 5 Sky Cruiser — Fancy 6 Classic Tommy Margarita 7 American Beauty 8 Fifth Floor Mint Julep — Delish We think everyone’s favorite thing to do was shaking up their drinks. By this time of the event most people had a pretty good buzz going so they were not overly concerned about their technique which made watching everyone all the more entertaining! THELUNCH After everyone has a turn behind the bar it is now time to sober up and break some bread with new friends. Fifth Floor Restaurant creates a lovely menu for all of the Masterclass participants. I left Harvey Nichols that afternoon thoroughly satisfied! All in all this was a perfect way to spend a cold rainy day in London and at the end you get a very colorful certificate which makes you official!

Tasty cocktails. Try the sake champagne. Best for afternoon drinks before the work rush arrives

Afternoon tea is one of my favourite meals of the day, well a very luxurious day. And something that peaked my interest recently was the Sharpham Park ‘wheat alternative’ afternoon tea at Harvey Nichols’ Fifth Floor. When you think of afternoon tea, you expect egg & cress sandwiches, scones with cream and a sponge to compliment and they delivered on all accounts. The Fifth Floor is the perfect environment for a spot of food in the afternoon, with the stunning domed ceiling and ornate mirrors surrounding the walls. We knew exactly what we wanted to order for food, but the extensive list of interesting teas took a little longer. From the classic Harvey Nichols signature Darjeeling and lavender, to the fragrant Indian Chai and exotic Passion Fruit we had to try a pot of each. The Afternoon tea began with the first course of savoury treats, examples of four different incarnations made from spelt flour. With bridge rolls, sourdough, focaccia and bagels every one as tempting as the next filled with beef & horseradish, salmon & cream cheese and the classic egg & cress. Each one delicious and I felt like I may just re-enact the iconic scene in Oliver! by asking for more, but I remembered how it had ended for him. If I had felt hungry after the first course, as soon as the deserts arrived, I knew I would be hungry no more. This showed real creativity with passion fruit & popping candy pavlova, as well as the more traditional fruit scones with clotted cream. Eight little bundles of pure exuberance that proved great versatility for wheat alternative dining. Sharpham Park have proved that this wheat substitute, is certainly not a substitute for taste or style, delivering an offering that you can’t but trying every little bit.

I loved this place! Especially when the champagne trolly was wheeled up! I had a champagne cocktail with plum liquer(we then bought a bottle if it from the Harvey nics wine shop) had scallops followed by an amazing orange and ginger mousse. Both delightful. Would have liked to have stayed longer but had to leave to get to the theatre. Will definately be going back. The décor was lovely, service excellent without being formal.

I have eaten here so many times and it is always good. Went last Sunday and sat on the terrace outside in the sunshine. My friend had the chicken with cous cous, I played safe and had a hearty burger due to hunger. A couple of glasses of wine and the most gorgeous shared summer tart dessert. Well worth a special treat if you are out having a shopping day.

Oh dear. Whatever has happened to Fifth Floor? The restaurant used to be one of THE places to meet in Knightsbridge. When we visited tonight, some sort of catastrophe must have happened in the kitchen because between the swiftly-served starter of mackerel and our main course, we waited for over three quarters of an hour. When our main finally did arrive after 2 late apologies(once we were told they’d be with us in 4 minutes, read 15 and the second time we were told 1 minute, read another 10) they were no longer hot. Warm would be a better description, besides which Monsieur’s mash was missing. By the time it arrived, we’d almost finished our mains, somewhat defeating the purpose of it turning up at all. Whatever our complaints, though, we couldn’t fault the taste. Everything was delicious, even if it had lost its cooking heat somewhere between the hotplate and the table. We asked for the bill and requested that the dessert(which, apart from a brief mention at the start of the evening had not yet been offered or materialised) to be removed from the set menu price. In the end, they gave us our glasses of wine as recompense, but not before our waiter blamed everything on the girl who brought the bread and cleared the plates etc rather than admitting that he had quite simply forgotten us. By this point we’d been at the table for so long that we were numb with boredom and fatigue. We no longer wanted the dessert, but the now apologetic waiter pushed one onto us, regardless. Looking around, we weren’t the only victims of slow service and for once, I can safely say that it wasn’t through lack of manpower on the dining room floor. It’ll be a while before I try Fifth Floor again. Shame, really. They used to be quite the Ab Fab eatery.

Drawn by the Thanksgiving menu, which was delicious — although I’m not sure halibut is a staple for Turkey Day — I was disappointed by the bar — overheated, with roaring music and slow service(we waited ten minutes to pay the tab and then left for the restaurant, where it was added to the bill, which defeated the point of buying someone a drink). Food was delicious; halibut fantastic, ballotines of turkey delicious, the potted brisket interesting(described by our waiter, bizarrely, as ‘a bit like corned beef). H.N is a premium store, and expect three courses for £24, with wine and a cocktail, to end up being £70 per head. So not a bargain. The location’s great, but the restaurant itself rather weird — the bright ovoid room reminiscent of a set from Blake’s Seven or Space 1999 — retro futuristic and a tad cold. Maybe a couple of soft furnishings might help; a kilim rug, perhaps a pink shagpile?

The fifth floor is posh, busy, casual, fancy, cool, contemporary, hip rolled into one. Try the Sunday Lunch Set menu which is fairly reasonably price, 2 courses £19.50 and 3 courses £24.50 including Bloody Mary or Harry’s bellini. The food and service is good and of high standard. It might be worth booking in advance as it gets quite busy with weekend shoppers. There is a lift at the ground floor which takes diners up to the restaurant, instead of having to go through the shopping areas. I would recommend this place to anyone who love good food and cocktails.

A fantastic place which is always buzzing with people. Depending on the time of day you can have breakfast, afternoon tea(not to be missed) or lunch. The afternoon tea is always really nice and the cake selection is lovely(keep an eye out for the dark chocolate tarte). Hot meals are equally as nice with good portions and served piping hot and speedily from the very efficient staff. Occassionally they host cinema afternoons/evenings which make for an interesting time. Keep an eye out for the odd(d list) celeb ;0)

We popped in here for a cup of tea on a very busy Sunday afternoon and it was absolutely packed. We had to wait in line for about 10 minutes before we were seated. We ordered our tea and it came promptly enough but I was intrigued by all the food being ordered around us. The man sitting next to us must have thought I was weird because I kept staring at his plate. On it was a grey, horrible looking steak that he actually looked pleased to have in front of him. I was amazed as he cut into it to reveal colors I’ve never seen in a steak before. Blues, greys, oranges. No, I wasn’t high. Now the guy seemed to be enjoying it so who knows, maybe it was good. But it sure looked gross. The rest of the meals actually looked pretty appetizing, particularly the pasta dishes. But don’t go here expecting a quiet meal, cos you ain’t gonna get it.

This restaurant is a joy to visit. I’m not one for posh and fancy restaurants but I make this one is the exception. There is a separate lift that you can take from the outside of the building to the 5th floor so you don’t have to bother with the four indoor escalators. This restaurant is large and bright and great for a special lunch. They offer a set menu for those on the budget and have an al a carte menu(that’s a little pricey, but what they hey if you’re here as a treat!). The service and food is great, the staff really look after you. It seems odd that such a nice restaurant would be part of a department store,(even if the department store is Harvey Nichols!) but the restaurant is very separate from the rest of the food hall floor. I’ve been here a few times and highly recommend leaving space for the to-die-for desserts. The bar that’s attached to the restaurant is also very plush with a great(if expensive) cocktail list.
