I admittedly stayed here on the night before and of my wedding, so my review might be slightly tainted but based on other reviews it seems par for the course. When my husband and I arrived at the hotel on the Friday, we were immediately congratulated and given an upgrade(we had booked the cheapest room category but were bumped up one level). It was so unexpected and we were thrilled — our room was huge and absolutely stunning, we even had a small balcony we could step out onto. The beds were SO comfortable, and the shower and separate bathtub were also really nice There was a little box of chocolates and a note from the manager congratulating us, which I thought was a nice touch — but almost more impressive was a handwritten note from my mother who later informed me she had dropped it off with them back in March(we stayed in late May) for them to leave in our room. They’d kept it and delivered it about ten weeks later. We semi-took over the bar area on Friday night, as our friends and family stopped by to say hi. The service was impeccable, waitstaff remembering multiple orders and being able to track down people as we moved around the room to give us our drinks. We had room service breakfast on Saturday and went down to the restaurant on Sunday, and both times really enjoyed our meal. The room service was delivered within the 15 minute time frame we had specified the night before and the food was nice and warm — even the maple syrup for the pancakes was warmed, which was a really nice touch. Down at the restaurant they set us off to the side for a nice breakfast away from other people, which I really enjoyed. We were after a luxurious experience and certainly got one. While it’s a bit too pricey for a regular weekend jaunt(we paid £666 for a Friday and Saturday night, which included breakfast), it’s definitely one to use or special occasions. From the moment I walked in until I left, I had a massive grin on my face.

We were visiting from NYC and stayed at this hotel, great décor taste, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the items at their restaurant were delicious and the pool area spectacular, I cant wait to stay there again when I return.

This review is for afternoon tea! For some reason I got it into my head that tea was served until 7pm, so we showed up at about 5:23 pm for tea. The host told us that tea ended at 5pm! I must have looked extra sad, because he told us to have a seat and he would ask the chef if we could still get tea — they were very accommodating and let us have tea and all the scrumptious goodies that go along with it! We decided to go for the champagne too, and it was £29.50 per person. Everything was delicious, and the service was wonderful. There wasn’t a dress code, so my husband was happy about that too. I wish we could have gone here every day we were in London!

I stayed here in early September for 2 nights. It’s perfection. It was my lovely little wonderful happy place in London. I was alone and I loved every minute of it. There is nothing else to say. Stay here.

Perfect experience. Staff was amazing, hotel is gorgeous, and even though it is in the heart of a very busy and touristy area, this place is tucked away a bit. This is somewhere you can make your home away from home in London.

Wow! What a wonderful place to stay! When we arrived we were greeted warmly by a sweet young lady who gave us a brief tour and showed us all the fun thing about the hotel and then escorted up to our lovely town home. The room was perfect. Super clean and gorgeous! The hotel concierge was such a doll anything we hinted he could top times10 with out even us knowing or any effort! This place is a gem. The restaurant in the hotel is also great. My fav is the high tea breakfast!!!

this place is FAB-YOU-LOUS. it’s super-luxe haute meets tongue-in-cheek meets bordering-on-all-out-camp. pleasant, sun-lit nook in which to sink into a comfy chair and read the afternoon away? vaguely sherlock-holmesian library in which to indulge in a glass or two at a well-stocked honor bar? service so friendly you’ll turn around and wonder if you’re actually on TV? yes yes and yes! it’s ideally situated — within walking distance of all the major sights(including being across the street from my heart’s fave, the Phantom of the Opera DONOTSCOFF or I will cut you), but just enough off the major road so that you actually have some peace and quiet for sleep. oh, and the afternoon tea. I wish I had gone earlier in my visit. I should’ve gone every stinkin’ day.

I love love love theHaymarket Hotel. I’ve been here twice for afternoon tea, which is around 20 quid but well worth it. They give you as much sandwiches, cakes, and of course tea as you want. We had been waiting for about 10 minutes after ordering and the maitre d(i can’t spell in french) came over and said we had been waiting too long and that he would bring over a complimentary bottle of champagne. hows that for service!(and we hadn’t even been waiting that long). While the tea and service is good, what i love most about this place is the décor. The conservatory is so cute. And they are always willing to give you a tour. The pool area is also really cool. Just go and have a tour and you will see how awesome it is. and everyone is friendly… not stuck up like some fancy hotels. … JUSTGO!

Note: I didn’t stay at the Haymarket Hotel, but what I did do was have afternoon tea and get a tour of the place. Upon entering the hotel, I already had a great impression of the place. The doormen were all smiles, the reception was warm, and the host of the dining room for afternoon tea was witty, chatty and accomodating. After perusing through different afternoon tea deals, not wanting to settle for a cheap café-type experience yet not willing to pay £30 for the Ritz, I took my visiting friends here for their pommery champagne afternoon tea(including VAT was about £22). This included sandwiches, pastries and cakes, tea, and a glass of bubbly per person. We waited a bit longer than expected to get our orders, which the host spotted, and immediately gave us a free bottle of champagne — AWESOME. The teas were great, as was the food. Not to mention the sandwiches and cakes/scones are all limitless, so you can top up as much as you want. The place was gorgeous too. Took a look at the conservatory, where you can also have tea(but was full), and was beautiful. The host offered to take us on a tour of the bar and pool area… oh my god. Even the bathroom was gorgeous. Spent basically 3+ hours there for afternoon tea. Great atmosphere, great service, and definitely worth the price. AMAZING time.
