Back to LDN for a short trip, I’ve not been to this city for more than 10 years so my expectations were very low as I did not really enjoy it the first time. Which in a way can be a good thing. After a few advices from fellow Gay men, I decided to try out by myself Heaven on a busy Saturday night. The club is located on a long street with lots of people walking/hanging out, so no sketchy/empty streets you’d have to go through to get there. It felt really safe which is a good point when you don’t know the city and are by yourself like I was. Important: Be ready to wait in line outside and also at the coatcheck for a while but It’s definitely worth trying. But It’s definitely not a place to go if you like quiet environments and get scared by crowds. Impossible to miss with a massive rainbow flag at the entry, HEAVEN is a huge club with gigantic rooms and loud music. 4 different rooms with 3 different types of music going from Top 40/Bubblegum Pop /HipHop R&B. By the way, as I read some mixed reviews about security at Heaven, bouncers were dolls with me. Very flirty too, so I guess It depends on the night and how you approach them. The staff in general was very nice and helpful. Cut them some slack, managing such a huge space with drunk/rude customers is not an easy job. Plus the bartenders are all young, probably students so don’t expect Lounge Bar quality service. Inside the club the mood is pretty friendly. No drama or gossiping. A lot of good dancers and people loving to break a sweat on the dancefloor on high energy music which is just all I ask for. I also loved the fact that the population was REALLY diverse(Emphasis on the word really because in Paris It kind of never happens): Lesbians, Gays, Trans, Non-conforming, Straight(Yes, they deserve love too believe it or not)… All the shades of the rainbow. It does bring a good vibe and energy to the party. The minus point for me would be that the age range is very young, probably between 18 – 25. People over 30 apparently don’t go out there. So when It comes to guys you might have difficulties to find a man over 25. If you love blonde/twinky Bristish guys I guess you’ll really be in Heaven there, pun attended. A great experience in a great space. Definitely coming back.

Firstly, I’d like to state that the patrons were great and the staff were awesome! Everybody in the club was determined to have a good time; no drama or fussing made for a fun night. The atmosphere was lively and exactly what you would expect from London on a Saturday night. The drinks were reasonably priced but not reasonably strong, and so I knocked off a star for that. The reason I took off another star was because of the playlist. It is now 2016 and while I do love my old school jams, I do NOT love when old school jams are the majority of the DJs catalogue. I could understand if it was«throwback» night, but on a regular weekend, I feel that it isn’t out of the question to expect most of the songs to be from this decade!

I’ve always enjoyed nights here, mainly as I love cheesy pop and dancing like no-ones watching, which they aren’t as I’m not a bloke — bonus. As others have complained, I agree the toilet situation is dire, and I used the unisex ones where the queue wasn’t so bad, but the hygiene was. We did also have to queue for about 15 mins or so before midnight on a Friday night. Be warned they search you thoroughly and go through your bag. Also if you seem too pissed, you won’t get in. Free wristband from G-A-Y first gets you free entry.

It’s been ages since I last went to Heaven — decades even, it was before mobile phones and all recording devices were confiscated by the bouncers(and returned at the end of the night). But I have very fond memories of a super glamorous night club and shiny happy people … … fast forward to last night and a Nitin Sawhney gig. Excellent music, don’t get me wrong, and the sound was great even from the sides — we arrived late and squeezed in under one of the arches to catch a glimpse of the stage. But it just didn’t feel like Heaven — actually, it was very much like Village Underground with the exposed brickwork and railway arches. Great sound, so no complaints, it works as a gig venue, just don’t expect any of the glamour. The downstairs cloakroom and bar seemed a bit tired(as did the staff) and the toilets just disgusting. As the venue mainly caters for gays, just three female cubicles for such a massive place is probably sufficient during club nights — not so on this occasion. The warning«only one person per cubicle» made me smile considering the well behaved Nitin crowd.

This place is renowned for being London’s most popular gay night club. I’ve never been to that, so my rating isn’t based on that aspect. On the nights the club doesn’t run this place is host to a variety of gigs. I came here for the first time last night to see Amenra. I was immediately impressed by how quickly people were checked in — really speedy queuing process and all of the door staff and security were friendly. I didn’t buy a drink, so I can’t comment on the price or quality. It’s a good sized venue for gigs — plenty of space and excellent sound quality. The only let down was the toilets — clean enough, albeit very small, but the toilets don’t flush which is kinda gross. Aside from this, I look forward to attending gigs here in the future. It’s right beside both Embankment and Charing Cross stations too, so you haven’t got to walk far to catch the tube home.

Going to Heaven isn’t actually something fascinating. If you are a Londoner, you have probably ended up here randomly a few times, or some of your friends may have dragged you. Despite how good the music might get, the excessive amount of half-naked, sweaty boys running around is something that I can’t neglect. The place is too wild even for me and the overpriced drinks aren’t something worth paying for. The condition of the toilets is horrible and I don’t even think it is safe to go in there alone. I see how divided the reviews are and honestly, I’m not saying you can’t have a good time here, but I wouldn’t recommend it for girls.

I was disappointed with the place. I went with a friend thinking I’d be impressed with the«Europe’s most famous gay club» — however, the place is small, drinks are expensive(if compared to other gay venues such as G-A-Y or Ku Bar) and the songs keep repeating. Also, I don’t think it’s a good place for ladies as its public is composed of 80% men, 20% women — which would be fine if men didn’t stare at us weirdly, as if asking what we were doing there.

I came on a Thursday night after having trekked over from Soho. The queue was pretty quick, and there was no cover(entered around midnight) but I did have a wristband from the G-A-Y bar. Once inside, the bars are packed but also cycle through quickly. Mostly electronic music, lots of dancing/fun with friends, and yes it’s an LGBT club!

So for a tourist visiting from the states, this is quite an experience. I like the idea of a club/rave scene in an old train tunnel hidden beneath the streets of London. The discounted wristbands were appreciated, but the queue on a Saturday night was not. I sobered up too much before we got inside, which hurt the experience. This is a perfect place to hang onto a buzz and dance all night. Immensely tight, sweaty, attractive crowd. Well worth the experience if you’ve never been, but it’s not somewhere I would be every weekend.

A Fag-hag’s dream. Best take a large group of men with you, cause they will all find someone in Heaven and then just rotate who they are with for the evening, as long as you have multiple men with you, you’ll always have one nearby to dance with. Make sure you get there early though as the queue is hell. For all this is an LGBT club it’s mostly gay men, the women are usually either with their male friends or taken and with their partners. Get the wristbands from G-A-Y to make it cheaper entry and be friendly to the bouncers. When they close the doors with a one out one in policy you’ll appreciate having someone in the know to chat to.

This is a LGBT night club. It actually takes you a lot of time to get in, due to the immense waiting time, but when you get in it is worth it. Drinks are not as expensive as I expected and the music is not so bad either. You’ll also lose a lot of time just to hang your coat. Mostly I think they could have a much more organised way to make it easier and faster on the space. There are some places where you can get a wrist band and it will be cheaper, otherwise it’s full price. I paid £7 to go in. I recommend this space.

I’ve been to heaven during their Valentine’s Day event featuring Nick Jonas and Kelly Clarkson. First of all, being from America, I guess I underestimated Heaven’s presence here in London! I was surprised to learn that they booked two HUGE stars for Valentine’s Day, so props to Heaven! Heaven is really popular with the LGBTQ community, but it’s incredibly fun for anyone looking for a good night. They have well stocked bars, and a main dance area with a stage. Before stars come out, you can go up onto the stage if you’re feeling brave, and you will most definitely be cheered on by the crowd. I was hesitant to give Heaven 4 stars, but I figured that I just went on an extremely crazy night. It was incredibly crowded, so it was hard to see anything on stage. Drinks were being spilled, people were getting in each other’s faces and rowdy, and toes were being stepped on. The queue outside was also extremely unorganized, and it would be hard to understand if I wasn’t with a friend who is a regular. The bouncers of the line were also did not explain when they opened and closed the line — which seemed utterly random — so some friends of mine didn’t even get to go inside! Although my night was crazy, the same situation would have been so much worse at any other club.(Some) of the crowd, the bartenders, and the performers definitely made up for it. I’m also sure it’s much better on a normal night out. Make sure to get 10£ wristbands from G-A-Y before you get to Heaven.

Heaven is a nightclub(on most nights) aimed at the LGBT scene discreetly tucked away on Villiers Street which is located in the middle of Charing Cross Station and Embankment Station. Having been to Heaven more times than I should be happy about I always get mixed emotions about it. Heaven is known by a lot of the LGBT community as a place where you just happened to end up at on a night out in town and wanted to put on your dancing shoes until the morning. The dress code is pretty casual or flamboyant if that floats your boat, but, you do happen to catch a fair few business men in their shirt and ties downstairs in the main arena on a Friday night(Camp Attack Night) so there is no strict image to aspire to as of such. The reason I get mixed emotions is due to the constant change of emotions during the night and it happens all the time. First might be the excitement of going out clubbing to only face long queues(EXTREMELY long if a celebrity is performing). Sometimes you may get a bouncer who is rude or you can strike your luck and have a down to earth bouncer with no hassle and then it’s only a matter of entering and resuming your night. Heaven as a whole has 5 sections to it with 2 cloackrooms. The main arena hosts the main stage and your all time favourite pop songs whereas the upstairs room hosts more Rnb and Bashment as well as everything else between which is nice touch to be able to switch around rooms. The other 3 sections(or rooms as they call it) have a world of there own with one of them Moreso a chillout area where people actually sit on sofas and watch a movie or sober up. The clubs interior could be a lot more lively, but, being underneath a train station perhaps has it’s drawbacks, but, they do make it all up with themed nights or just the general lights that dancing around the rooms all night. ***Heaven as a whole is an experience in which nobody can really write about or review because I have gone on numerous occasions all with different experiences and outcomes, so, give it a try and I can assure you that £3 entry and standard Central London drink prices may just allow you to end up there on random occasions***

That is totally the place to go for a crazy night! They have many dance floors with different music so you can always find the one to match your night mood. The place itself is not so pretty, but even when it gets crowded you can always enjoy dancing. It is very cheap if you get the wirstband in Soho before going; besides there is always a show in the main room with special guests.

I’ve only ever been here for gigs — Godflesh and Orange Goblin, so my point of view of it is not as a night club. I found the sound a little muddy, which is a shame, because I really like the venue. It was the perfect vibe for metal, but I suppose the sound system for a different genre of music. There isn’t a great selection of beer, but then I’ve been spoilt by having the Black Heart as a venue. The toilets are at the back and there are is always a toilet lady. I hate toilet ladies(obviously not the actual women themselves!!) I don’t really see the point and I don’t know the etiquette regarding tipping. It makes me feel really uncomfortable to go to the loo. :( It’s a bit confusing to get in, but the security and staff seem friendly and accommodating.

So ugh, I ain’t a hater and what not but like this place was pretty gay and I’m not. See, I’m not giving it a star bc the club was whack but rather I had no idea this place was a place for gay dudes to work up a sweat. Lol. I mean dudes should advertise this place with flags outside so I won’t be like, «this place looks dope, let’s go inside». Remember this, where ever they are gay dudes there will always be women thinking they feel safe bc all the men are gay. A real women hunter knows this and goes to these places to find females but I mean I was visiting n I wasn’t in the mood of getting slapped and drinks poured on my face for being a douche. Lol

Heaven is definitely a place to go when you’re in the mood to have a LONG, drunken night dancing. Whenever I’ve gone during the week it’s been pretty quiet but the weekends are always busy — sometimes you can’t even get in because the gigs are so good! One time we queued up for over an hour and realised it was because Ellie Goulding was playing — not a good choice of a night, we never actually got in! The music is good and there’s a couple different rooms. We normally end up on the first floor which is great fun, though I like the main area as well. I actually also really like the room past the main one that pretty much just plays films on screens all spread out throughout the room. I’ve never seen it crowded in that room so it’s a great spot to unwind for a moment if you’re needing it. They were playing Rocky Horror Picture Show the first time I came here and last time I went they were playing the Amazing Spiderman so yeah some decent films on :) Drinks are what you’d expect from a club, actually not horribly priced. I’ve also never really had a bad experience here with weirdos which I’ve had at many clubs, gay or straight — generally people are super friendly and up for a night of fun. Also quick tip — I don’t know what the entry normally is on Fri/Sat nights, but you can get free entry wristbands from G-A-Y around 5 – 10 minutes walk away.

Visited Heaven on my own recently for Camp Attack. Hated every minute of it. The worst thing is the bolshy security. They shout & bark at you with no attempt at any politeness-makes you feel like you are joining the Army rather than going out for a fun night out. Just to go out for a cigarette is an ordeal-searched every time you re-enter the club. Once inside there are horrendous queues for everything-the coat check, the bar, the toilets. Getting a drink is like raising the Titanic-be prepared for a 15 minute wait minimum. Camp Attack used to be at the old Astoria & had a fun, laid-back atmosphere with v mixed age group. That has been replaced by an utterly soulless atmosphere with a mostly young crowd, tourists & heaps of screeching fag-hags, if you are over 35 you will feel out place. Vile club, horrible staff, AVOID.

The best club of all time. It’s so big, there are so many hot guys and the tunes just never stop coming. If you’re gay or in any way inclined to frequent gay clubs: Heaven is a must. Security at the door is very strict — metal detector and frisking etc. but it’s worth it. On a Saturday they have great acts in to play and sometimes they even have swimming pools. The last time I was there they had a massive fan in front of the main dance floor. There are also podiums to dance on. Essential in any gay establishment if you ask me.
