Best wine collection I have ever seen! Most impressive collection of St. Juliens and Pauillacs! I actually bought some hard to find spirits and the staff was extremely helpful with recommendations and knowledge. They also have amazing bubble packing for travel, that i will reuse on my bourbon smuggling missions. I will be back again when I return to London.

Hedonism is like a candy store for wine lovers. It is a lovely place to browse for wines as it has one of the most extensive selections of high end wines and big name brands I have ever seen. With a central location(in Mayfair) I do rather often end up browsing here for a while. The atmosphere is great for browsing and staff are friendly(although level of knowledge varies greatly depending on who is working) so it is usually nice to have a look around. They also have a decent selection of other liquor, some wine books and glasses. So why only a rating of three stars. For me it is the fact that I seldom find anything to buy here and that largely comes down to two reasons, first the selection is extensive but to some extent fairly boring is at is the big names that dominate here and I am often searching for smaller producers and that is just not the focus of Hedonism. Nothing wrong with that but in combination with my other objection it just does not make it my go to place. The other objection I have is that the price level sometimes is just ridicoulus. Hedonism is often substantially more expensive than other shops(have seen cases where they charge up to double that of what others charge but more normal is 20−50% more). For the really high end stuff(stuff for a few £1000s) they are however more competitive so it seems they try to have higher margins on their ‘cheaper’(thinking of the stuff costing £50 and up to a few £100). Still I think that it is a place well worth to have a look around in,

Oh! Oh! Oh! Wine geek heaven! I have never experienced a wine store like this! I am a California wine-o-file and I was overwhelmed with the selection of high end Cali cabs. They had Abreu, Opus One, Bond(no Harlan that I saw), Donelan, Ovid, Aubert and on and on. I stumbled upon the wall of Sine Qua Non and was taking a picture when I noticed the ROOM of Sine Qua Non right next to the wall! For you non-California wine-o-files, there was plenty for everyone — a room of Penfolds which included many older Grange vintages… and one of the Penfolds Ampoule for a mere 120.000 Pounds. They had some very large formats of various Bordeaux first growths and Brunellos. There was a nook filled with DRC as well. All was pricey but not overly so for the selection. If I ever win the lottery, I want to come here next!

If all wine and liquor stores were this nice I’d drink more, LOL. Other than the décor and layout of the store, the selection of wines and spirits is more than I’ve ever seen. Being from the states, I was most impressed with their selection of Napa wines including Inglenook. In addition, they had a great selection of Italian wines including Brunelos. Lastly, any whisky or scotch drinker will be awestruck with the massive selection. of single malts and blends from around the world. I got a rare Scottish 38 year old scotch that I couldn’t find in the states.

This is the crème de la crème of wine! With over 50,000 bottles of wine and I believe this could be the best collection and range in the UK! They have the whole Penfold Grange collection exhibited downstairs, which would blow any wine collectors mind. It is on sale for a mere £600,000 — what a bargain! If wine isn’t your thing, the upstairs mezzanine also stocks a impressive range of spirits. The staff are extremely friendly and happy to walk you through whatever your interest might be to find a drink to suit even the fussiest drinkers.

I want to move into this place immediately. I was like a kid in a candy shop when I came in. I only had 30 minutes until closing, but I really maximized my tasting time downstairs. They have unbelievable wines available for tasting, but the fun part is looking through the entire«gallery» of wines they have available, including the wall of Yquem and the collection of Mouton. I can’t explain how amazing this place is and I want to spend a much longer time in Hedonism when I come back in December.

What a gem of a drinks shop. It’s got such a fabulous range of spirits, you can’t just put this down as a wine shop alone. Upstairs is a veritable feast of spirits from around the world, and downstairs is a beautiful cave of wines — with a tasting area that can cater for any group size from 2 to 200, with tastings created specifically for each need, whether it’s date night or a corporate event. The knowledge of the team there is unquestionable, and they advise appropriately without pushing you towards the most expensive. Prices are fair; they’re a little higher than online, but I’m happy to pay them to support such a great local business.

the service here is great and the selection is amazing, even for liquors as opposed to wine where the selection is nothing short of insane

Now this is a wine shop I can really get into! We stopped by here to pick up some wine for dinner later in the evening. The restaurant we were going to doesn’t have alcohol, but you can drink your own that you bring. We decided we couldn’t really just stop at the off-license across the street, so we came here. The store is quite glorious. There are two floors with whites and spirits on the ground floor and reds in the basement. The basement also has a tasting area where you load a card and try what you want. They have a range of wines that you can try from less than £1 per taste to £20 per taste if you’re feeling crazy. The wines are not necessarily cheap either. They do have some cheaper wines, but a lot of the wines are in the £100+ range, with some reaching up to £1000. In fact, they had 23 years of wines from a certain winery for around £24,000 or something ridiculous like that. The price you may be spending for wines does seem a bit hedonistic. But they do have some nice wines there. We managed to find some wines from France we hadn’t been able to find in the UK, so now we know where to go. If you’re looking for some nice, albeit mostly expensive, wines, Hedonism wines is the place for you. Friendly staff and great decorations lead to an awesome wine shop.

As others have said Hedonism is like a wine museum. Exotic and famous bottles are lined up like exhibits in beautiful(for the wine) low light conditions. If you are looking for a rare, special or expensive bottle Hedonism must be London’s best bet. The selection from Bordeaux is particularly impressive. This said, the wine which is on offer is, generally, fairly pricey and many of the bottles will out of reach of most people’s wallets. However, all is not lost as there is a big range of enomatic cabinets in the basement which allow you to taste sips of pricey wines at more accommodating prices.

This large and selective wine and spirit shop is very well stocked with top of the line wine, and an extensive selection of just about every kind of liquor you could ask for. The fact that it is in Mayfair should pretty much tell you the price range. This is not where you go to pick up cheap plonk on your way to some mate’s mate’s party, however it should also not stop you from going in and having a look as there are wines to be found in very acceptable price ranges. The staff are approachable and happy to help. If the chichi wine puts you off(and it shouldn’t), there are a plethora of spirits to shop for. I was thrilled to find some high end, hard to find, and much coveted mezcals from Mexico. For those in the know, mezcals, GOOD mezcals, are better then high end tequilas these days, and if you can find them, which at the moment in London is very hard, you should grab them! Like here at Hedonism. If that isn’t your thing well then there are some very fine whiskeys, grappas, etc. to whet your pallet. Definitely one of the finer wine shops in London.

This might be the greatest shop on earth! I am more excited by going into Hedonism Wines today than I was any toy store as a child. The sheer depth and breadth of top quality wines from every corner of the globe is so inspiring I am literally having dreams about shopping sprees here. Their Enomatic tasting machine has a broad selection(20 whites + 20 reds?) of very high end wines available for purchase in 25ml quantities(wines recently included d’Yquem 01, Sine Qua Non reds and whites, 20+ year old Rhones, and Grand Cru Burg’s). If you are a wine fanatic, pray towards 3⁄7 Davies Street W1…
