Highly Sprung

I will be incredibly honest here, because that is what Unilocal is for.
I was impressed with Highly Sprung’s salesman, the fact he remembered my name, what I was looking for originally, and had been so positive that I would receive my sofa in time for my upcoming move in 30 days. Awesome.
These sofa are not cheap at all, around £1400 (eek!), but they are comfy and made in the UK.
Not only were they unbelievably delayed (they quote delivery at less than a month, expect two), but it is impossible to get hold of anyone as they do not respond to emails in a timely fashion, don’t answer questions, and seem to not respond to voicemails.
I found it incredibly unprofessional the lack of communication (because as a buyer, I surely deserve to know if/​when my sofa is being delivered?) and serious lack of judgement on their part. There is absolutely no reason a customer should leave numerous messages via phone/​email asking if their item has been made let alone when/​why it will be delivered a month later than promised.
Before it was FINALLY delivered (of course they only got in touch when they demanded the final amount before delivery), I was given a pathetic apology over the phone by the original salesman –who was very nice– when I expressed serious concern when an email came back saying the company was on partial shut down earlier hence the delay. With scary thoughts of a company going under flowing through my brain (and me not getting a refund), I later discovered it was because they were on holiday. This is obviously something the costumer needs to know as it delayed my order, and I am guess a few others as well, by around a month.
That said, I will never purchase a sofa here again. Great sofa (4 stars), but terrible terrible customer service. I will find my next one elsewhere with a company that respects the people that spend money on their products.

We have been searching high and low for just the right sofa (stylish, comfortable, and not a fortune), and finally found it here. The store is not that big, but you mustn’t forget the downstairs showroom. They have loads of styles. And they make many of the sofas they carry, so you can have them made in almost any size or fabric. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and you get the sense that they are not just trying to sell you something.
