This store is so expensive. But it’s also one of the few options for crafts(especially scrapbooking) around. For what it is, it does offer a small selection each of a lot of things. Very few sections have a large selection, for the size of the store. I find that odd. I usually go here if there is something specific that I need and know they carry. For fun, non-fashion, non-heirloom knitting/crochet projects, they do have a big selection of non-gross acrylic yarns. The kid’s crafts aisles are probably the best stocked section of the store. Every time I go, however, I always leave with sticker shock. The pricing is just silly.

Hurrah! Hurrah! Croydon has a Hobbycraft! There hasn’t been one in South London for years and I’m so thrilled one has opened in Croydon. They stock supplies for art, knitting, sewing, paper craft, modelling, baking, making all your christmas presents, everything. It’s not as large as the much missed Hobbycraft that used to be in Colliers Wood, but Croydon’s Hobbycraft is a good size, popular and staffed with friendly people. It’s a very quick walk from Wadden Marsh tram stop.
