On our recent visit to Hopscotch, we enjoyed the wings and a couple of pints to some relaxing and downtempo music. The place seems to have a good number of locals. One point off only because of the lack of updated menu causing much frustration when attempting to order our drinks. The barista /bartender was attentive and friendly. Ordering is done at the counter — though they can bring to you at the table if you’re unable to wait. Worth a visit if you’re in town and have a bit of time to have a pint.

75 min wait for a greek salad, which I had to order because all my first choice dishes were either unavailable or advised a «20 min wait» on the menu — think I’d have been there overnight if I’d gone for one of those…

Hopscotch is a relaxed and fresh space for meeting friends. There’s really no place like this in the area. It’s a really small, cute and chilled café/come bar that has real soul. Defiantly a place for the locals with yummy mummies taking tea in the afternoons and a mixed friendly crowd in the evenings. It has weekly live music nights and displays works from local artists around the place. There’s a cute stone garden at the rear, and additional seating onto the street out the front which is perfect for those summer afternoons. Beers and wines on draft, as well as lovely coffees and fresh simply bruchy food is offered and bound to please all. I don’t really come here all to often despite living just up the road. It’s a great venue for lounging away for an afternoon — but I never have that luxury.
