Relatively decent food at relatively decent prices.
The best thing about this restaurant is its friendly staff and plentiful seating with lots of outlets that actually work and transmit electricity to one’s phone or computer. (Errr…unlike those in LSE’s library.)

Don’t know what’s up with this place, but glad it’s not in my hood.
But credit deserved where it is due.
The deep dish pizza looked good, through and through
The variety and selection of their menu is wide.
And I would have liked to spend more time inside.
Perusing their yoghurt pots, porridge, smoothies, soup
Sandwiches, drinks, wraps, salads, it’s a large group.
I got the stare-​down from the waitstaff, so I moved along.
Not sure why she was looking at me like something was wrong?
On the outside of my pants, did I wear my thong?
Were my tights tucked into my sarong?
Did I look like I would spontaneously break into song (or poem)?
Wanted to ask, is anyone upstairs, tick tock ding dong?

But in the end, I won’t be making any future stops at this place.

This café is just round the corner from the London School of Economics and feels like a student union subsidised campus food outlet. I was surprised to find that it is in fact just a regular business, with nothing to do with LSE, but I like it because it feels like a studenty place, which means:
* Colourful, functional modern décor and furniture
* Cheap, cheerful and healthyish menu of lunch foods
* Students (after a few years in the workplace, it’s nice just to sit near them and leach some of their youthful glow/​listen to conversations about lectures and smile to self)
This is the best place near my workplace for a Jacket potato — only £3 for a HUGE fresh baked spud (not reheated in the microwave, whch always makes them go a bit gluey in texture and grey in colour) with HEAPS of filling. Omnomnom.
A recent discovery (which will be a tremendous help in beating my expensive Café Nero Chai Latte addiction) is that on request, they will put a shot from their range of coffee flavouring syrups in a takeaway cup of hot milk. For just £1.20 I got hot, foamy milk with gingerbread syrup. It was beautiful.
