Sweet little café with friendly staff and great selection of fresh baked goods. I often pop in during the week and have one of their fresh paninis for lunch. I have not yet tried the salads they offer but they always look vibrant and fresh. The gluten free chocolate brownie is very delicious and goes great with a latte.

Quaint yet perfect little coffee shop that sells baked goods, salads, and sandwiches at an outstanding value! I think I paid 7 quid for a sandwich, tuna and bean salad with cucumbers and egg, and a bottle of water. Maybe I’m used to High Street prices but this seemed generous given the quality of the Parma ham in my sandwich(with Mozzarella and Tomato). If I was unemployed, this would definitely be my office. I’d spend countless hours leeching their wifi and mainlining coffee by the hour. I could spend breakfast and lunch here, and quite possibly later afternoon snack. I’d be looking outside at the cold, rainy going-ons throughout the day wondering if I was even from this world, that«movement is not action», and that I should just get out of this shop… But I don’t want to, I never want to leave.

IL Molino is an unpretentious neighborhood place with Italian coffee, salads, sandwiches and pastries. Great value for money. Pleasant, peaceful and a great place for lunch or a quiet coffee. WiFi too. Always a pleasure to stop in here.

I walked past optimistically and decided to give it a try — lovely décor, homely feel, delicious looking food, not too busy… And walking distance to home. But alas, service was disappointing — I was forgotten and dismissed then served a coffee where looks were deciving. Such an awful powdery textured coffee(a flat white that was like a big milky mug latte) I took one sip and had to leave it. I wouldn’t go back in search of Australian style delicious barista quality coffee there. I would rather go without. This café has so much potential, but might do well to research what good coffee is if they are going to lure more customers who want more than the gritty chains.

Very nice and cozy neighbourhood café, and probably a sign of the change in this area. It can become quite busy on weekends, but I’ve still always been able to get a table. The coffee is very good, but the pastries and small dishes are really delicious!

A pleasant little café in the lost zone of Lavendar hill between the Clapham Junction end and the junction where it turns into Wandsworth Road; good coffee, nice looking pastries, pies, etc, and good smoothies staff are also friendly. Whenever I go go past, there always seems to be someone in there, which I take as a good sign.

Their Lavender Hill branch is just as charming and in a slightly better, albeit more residential neighborhood. Il Molino makes strong but delicious coffee and tasty pastries, but they have a decent salad and sandwich selection as well. Charming doesn’t even begin to describe the interior of mismatched antique tables and vintage décor. This is a real hotspot for locals — on a sunny day they have small outdoor tables.

Friends and I popped in here because it was the only nice looking café on a shabby stretch of street populated by tired animal charity shops and independent hardware and interiors stores. It ticks enough boxes to make it a recognisable kind of café: Purple frontage Freshly squeezed orange juice Herbal teas Expensive organic lemonade Paninis Wooden floor Oak tables Italian packets on a shelf behind the counter Newspapers in a basket Proper coffee But it’s soulless. It’s like the owners did enough to make their premises tick those boxes, to lure in the customers like moths to a flame, but then there was no energy to make it anything other than ok. There’s something dead behind the eyes about Il Molinos.

Oh how I love Il Molino! Located in an area of Battersea bereft of decent restaurants or cafes, Il Molino is a lifesaver. Nice coffees(although not amazing). However, the tasty sandwiches and mixed salad platter, not to mention the nice friendly neighbourhood ambience, more than make up for it. A week for me is incomplete without a visit to Il Molino. A true neighbourhood gem!
