My wife and I only had a few minutes to eat before going to the threatre, so we popped in here to grab some sushi. It was ok. Nothing better. The rice was a little undercooked. The toppings were acceptable but nothing to write home about. The vegetarian roll in the box for two we got really wasn’t even that good. I think we left two pieces of it behind. The salmon tasted better than the tuna, and I’m usually a tuna person. I prefer wasabi to itsu I’ve decided. Prices were ok-about £16 for a big dish that filled the both of us. And I did appreciate the edamame, that was tasty.

Compared to all the other«fast sushi places», Itsu is definitely one of the better ones. I usually go for anything with salmon in it. Salmon avocado rolls, salmon sushi, etc. It’s quick, it’s cheap, and compared to all those sushi places, you definitely get more fish for approximately the same cost. It’s definitely not the greatest sushi in the world, but for the price you pay, it’s still pretty good. My only caveat with this place is that they don’t give you enough wasabi, soy sauce, or ginger in the container. However, the servers are usually really nice about giving you more if you just ask.

A sushi chain that I’ve mainly used for a quick takeaway. I think it’s ok for what it’s worth though if central I prefer to go to a more in the know place like Atari ya for my sushi fix.

I wanted something quick for dinner and I had heard good things about Itsu so I decided to give it a try. Hoping for something light, I went for the salmon and tuna tartare salad — I was not a fan. The salmon and tuna were pretty tough and they were seasoned pretty heavily, which made me think the purpose of seasoning might have been to mask the actual(un-fresh) taste of the fish… The salad mix wasn’t the best either — some pieces were really bitter and some were also pretty soggy. For the price(~4 pounds), the salad wasn’t bad. Will I get it again? Probably not. If you’re looking for quality sashimi, don’t come here — or at least don’t get the salmon and tuna tartare salad. Maybe the other items fare better?

Same great food as other branches but really bad service on this occasion. I was charged £6.85 for what should have cost £2.99 then received no apology and after giving £10 got back six £1 coins. Normally if that happens you also get a «sorry I’ve no five pound notes». When I asked if she could give me a £5 note there was an audible and quite depressing sigh and she hit the till hard and pooped out a fiver. I was clearly a massive inconvenience. Obviously I cannot tar this branch of Itsu by this one experience but I left feeling I should have made by feelings plain. Not good.

Not the best Itsu I’ve visited. The shop was not particularly fresh and the food dinner task fresh. What put me off most was the shakes, the fruit was tasteless! If it was not for the friendly staff I would have immediately left.

It’s quite an expensive lunch per say normally but boy what a healthy lunch it was! Taking full advantage of the Unilocal partnership with London Health Week went ahead and ordered a chicken teriyaki brown rice potsu! Speed and efficiency to the max! Paid and got my pot in 2 minutes sharp! At 50% off it was £3ish, bargain! Still hot when I got back into the office 10 minutes later! First thing I noticed was how jam packed to the brim it was with none other than chicken and vegetables! Wow! No wonder Itsu is the wonderboy of health food outlets! I had to dig through layers of meat and veg to get to the rice underneath! Only lament is that the sauce was soaked into all the rice, and although it wasn’t too soggy, it could’ve been better!

Didn’t really get food for myself here much, but always came here to get my director her lunch during breaks. Quick and friendly service. Was always able to run in and out which I needed to do to get my director her lunch quickly. And she always enjoyed it. So pretty sure it’s good as she’s a picky one.

So basically if I eat here I get to look like Cristiano Ronaldo, with washboard abs, and a surfboard over my head AND I get to hang out with beautiful MAWDELS?! The wasabi packet isn’t colored green and it tastes pretty SPAICY: D The kelp in my £7.99 sashimi, sushi pack, tastes pretty good. Also I like the lemony vitamin water £1.69 for lemon water? I used to go to Avokado further down but their rice wasn’t so good; I might come here instead for now if I need a quick bite. bla bla bla yum yum yummy. Pretty sure the brand is capitalising on yuppie characteristics but hell. I guess it works :) See you down in Ibiza; I’m gonna be the mawdel on the beach with a surfboard over my head because I eat healthy and I work out.

Totally loved this place. Quick and cheap food that takes super good. I love it. The vegi-potsu is my fav. I don’t normally like pure vegi things, but I think it tastes better than the duck and chicken ones. Love the atmosphere and the whole feel of the place.

I have yet to eat at an Itsu properly, but I did pick up some wasabi popcorn one day out in London. Delicious, I could barely contain myself from stick a funnel in my mouth and pouring them in. Get some, delicious as a snack and only 99p.

#512 I definitely love the concept of Itsu. Unfortunately, our meals were already planned ahead of time while in the city this past Saturday, so we had to skip grabbing anything from Itsu. But, we did splurge on a bag of Wasabi Popcorn, which cost only 0.99gbp AND was only about 125 calories for the entire bag! I also got to check out their pre-packaged sushi which all looked fresh and delicious. I would also go for their vegetable dumplings the next time I’m around. Yum!

Nice little place, good prices but not a huge amount of choice. The tuna and salmon sashimi is lovely and very light. The salmon and avocado rolls were tasty but a bit loose so kept falling apart each time we tried to eat them! All in all, good for a quick bite!

Pre-packed grab and go sushi? You can’t expect it to be mind blowing. Along with Miso soup and broth with all manner of different ingredients, some vegetarian, some with chicken, this is Japanese version of Pret with healthier food. The place is clean, smart with a nice outdoor eating area that allows you a nice vantage for people watching. I enjoyed my £3.99 six piece duck sushi rolls — they were tasty. I didn’t fully immerse myself in the menu, but there is enough diversity to bring you back. If you want a fast, decent quality lunch without the guilt of to much grease, Itsu is great, without being fantastic. I would rate this Itsu at 3.5, but as I can’t I’ll give it a 4 for being such a good quick lunch spot.

In short: Underwhelming sushi, overwhelmingly awesome snacks and extras. In detail: Blah blah, raw fish, miso soup, lukewarm edamame, blah blah blah… But wasabi peas? Fresh squeezed ginger/apple/lemon juice? Nutty, fruity and chocolaty fro-yo? Flavoured pop corn? Thai basil lemonade? Organic dark chocolate rice cakes? Squirrel’s dream trail mix? Honey fennel cashews? Ummm, so totally worth it. Skip the sushi, go for the snacks!

Yes, yes I am reviewing an Itsu, but hear me out. It’s fro-yo fabulous! I was just passing by and noticed that they’ve opened up a massive new restaurant. On the corner of Drury Lane, this Itsu is huge with lots of cute booths and tables to sit in. Perfect for grabbing a mediocre sushi box and a fresh juice and watching the world go by. In the window they have a huge fro-yo menu called Butterfly Light Frozen Yoghurt. Allegedly zero fat, pro-biotic and low calorie — forgot to think about all that and just inhaled it! It was nigh indecent! Toppings include fresh blueberries, warm chocolate sauce, granola and honey nuts. It’s so cheap as well, for a decent sized regular with strawberries is only £2.95. This kicks Snog’s prices any day!
