Ahhhhh. *rubs forehead whilst eating a banana* This place is really a means to an end. I pretty much tried everything in the shop before i realised it all tastes the same. Bland, supposedly healthy, unexciting. And the list can go on. the same sauce can not go with 67 other dishes, in what world did the chefs think this worked?! Dont go here hoping to board the train to flavour town. it DOESNOT depart from here sadly.

Honestly I’ve probably sampled everything on their menu… Shameful? Is there any to be had in that? Well if there is I ain’t got any baby! Their salmon with rice and teriyaki sauce is soooooo good. you even get to feel healthy about it all as the rice is overflowing with edamame beans! YAY(NOT!!!) … The chicken version is amazing too however the pickled ginger on top has to go! Eviction style! The sushi is really good too! Overall it’s a nice drop spot for a quick nibble. Not a fan of their juices and the mangoes in the fruit pots are very much on the unripe side. They should hire a mangoe inspector to look into that. I’d do it if the price was right

Not a lot to say about Itsu as a chain, but definitely something to be said about the service here. The employees at the Piccadilly branch are just really friendly, kind, and professional. Worth writing a review to point out!

I was ok with itsu(by ok I mean it’s eatable when I’m hungry) UNTIL I had their sushi. Maybe it’s just me but I hate the taste of their sushi… It just doesn’t taste right… I love sushi(eat them a lot!!) but ewww not the itsu ones. Yea yea i don’t expect it to be as good as the ones in Japanese restaurants but still with a similar price wasabi sushis are wayyyy better…

I like this place. It’s tasty, and healthy, and affordable. SWEETTRIFECTA, BRO. Their marketing claims that Itsu is the Asian-influenced brainchild of some of the founders of Pret. In that regard, I can see some similarities: stocked shelves, efficient pay system, done. The hot stuff looks good, but I head for the coolers, always. My go-to are the low carb salads: rare-cooked salmon on a bed of greens(n.b.: if you hate cilantro, there’s some in the dressing) and a delicious tuna salad that has thin-sliced leeks included. There’s a chicken/avocado salad, too, for the low carb-ers among us, but that just doesn’t seem to trade on the strengths of Itsu. I’m also a fan of their sushi, edamame and protein pots. Always fresh, and really affordable. It… su delicious! Unilocal note: I especially like how I have the option to «PIMPMYFOODS» care of toasted sesame and sauces(hey, chill!) and pumpkin /sunflower seeds at the condiment bar. Sometimes I like it saucy, sometimes I don’t, you know?(I usually do, for the record)

I walked in a bit skeptical. It seems a bit conventional fast food-ish. But I had to say, I was quite impressed with the taste. And with all the delicious sauce and meat they packed in… plus they are kinda fast food-ish, Itsu is a healthy choice for people on the go. I got the dish with duck meat, and it was delicious. I also bought their packed salmon sashimi bento, and the salmon tasted really fresh. I now wish there were more Itsu’s around… and please open some in the Netherlands. I’m definitely a fan.

I like the variety of sushi sets. According to me, sushi is one of the healthiest food in the world. And this restaurant is one of a kind with its polite staff, precisely-prepared dishes and cosy atmosphere. I recommend trying the tuna and salmon sushi, but also the Miso soup, made of tofu, onions and wakame.

This review is specifically about Itsu’s frozen yogurt. My wife and I jumped on the froyo craze many many years ago and we have tried practically every brand in the US. We were dying looking around London for a frozen yogurt place when we stumbled into this fastfood sushi place. A bit about our tastes, we are purists when it comes to froyo and we specifically love the plain tart froyo. No matter where we go that’s the flavor we will get and the bar with which we grade how much we love the froyo. The froyo at Itsu is much thicker and tangy compared to what we have tried in the past. It is much closer to the Greek yogurt taste that you might have tried in the past.(Actually, we have thought of plans of trying to recreate froyo at home using Greek yogurt) If you’re a fan of plain tart froyo you should make a trip to Itsu to give their froyo a try!

This review covers the Potsu, their miso-based soups. They were absolutely wonderful and packed with flavor and ingredients. You choose between udon noodles and rice and then a number of other things — veg, wonton, duck, etc. The soup is very filling and so well packaged it was still steaming after a 10 minute walk back to my hotel. The £5 price is also very welcome in a very expensive Mayfair. I came back multiple times because they were so good.

On a recent shopping excursion to Piccadilly on a rainy Saturday, we wanted a quick, inexpensive lunch and as Pret a Manger was packed with people not wanting to head back into the rain, we popped into Itsu. Itsu was a Japanese version of Pret but with a lot more tables, quirky Japanese whimsy and very healthy food options. My husband enjoyed a steaming bowl of tofu, brown rice and steamed green vegetables while I had extremely fresh salmon sashimi and a couple of avocado sushi rolls. Just for fun, we tried their Thai sweet chili popcorn and chocolate popcorn. Both were delicious and very low calorie! Definitely wish we had Itsu in the USA!

Came here for a quick dinner, and was impressed by the variety of fresh sushi available, and the soup bowls. I found the sushi to be really tasty. I had been suggested the frozen yoghurt and the chocolate mousse, so I’ll have to try the next time. At this location the staff is friendly, and there is plenty of comfortable seating. Definitely an option for a quick meal, or if you want to take a load off for a bit and grab a bite to eat.

Really good pit stop for sushi and salad. A bit more pricey than my usual lunch and I could always do with a few extra pieces, but then again I’m greedy when it comes to sushi. Also love the drink pumps. This branch has seating which can be a bit of a bun fight during peak lunch time. There is always a queue but the tills are fast.

Yes! I love this chain and this location in particular. They have MASTERED the art of the business lunch. The shelves are always fully stocked, the meals are always very fresh, the lineups move quickly — you can’t ask for more when you’re running down the street to grab lunch in between meetings. FOOD: — Grab the Salmon sushi trio — my absolute favorite(sushi, sashimi and rolls all with salmon). — If it’s cold outside or you have a cold yourself, then grab the detox bowl. So much broth and vegetables, you might not even finish it! — Get the frozen yogurt anytime of year. YUM! — Oh and the chocolate rice cakes are a favorite mid-afternoon snack. I miss Itsu and can’t wait to be back in London and head there daily!

Stopped in here for lunch at the start of February. The service was a bit ropey but the pricing was pretty keen and the quality of the sushi(particularly the tuna sashimi) was very good. Would definitely revisit.

Itsu is going Down Down Down. The soups are getting worse, the sushi is getting worse and OMG so expensive. I walked in the other day balked at the price of a box of sushi and walked to Japan center. The extra 5 minutes walk each way means I get to eat like an extra 20 calories. And enjoy it. Getting a sense of déjà vu today that Unilocal keeps deleting my reviews. This is the second one I am sure I’ve reviewed but apparently I haven’t. Whatever. Not impressed.(with Itsu, not Unilocal.I still love Unilocal

This branch of Itsu is a few doors down from the Caviar House and I think this is making it lift its standard of décor. There are fancy banquettes, lots of dark wood and mirrors on one wall to make the place look bigger. Sashimi bento box containing generous slices of tuna and salmon with wakame salad and edmame for £9.95, a glass of watermelon, lime and iced tea from the big cooling container for £1.67 and blueberry froyo for under £2 — yummy lunch and healthy too!

Walking around on our first day in London, of course we got hungry. And to my surprise, there were quite the number of fast food chain type of Japanese/Noodles places. We decided on Itsu because it looked clean and it was the closest thing to the London Tourist Center in Picadilly Circus. Generally, I am a bit fearful of sushi(raw fish) sitting in some cool container just waiting. I was even a bit more fearful as I wasn’t too sure of how clean London restaurants are. But suffice it to say, I took a chance because… well…the sushi looked really good and it even came with salad. Because my mom and I were sharing the meal, we also ordered a vegetable dumpling soup, which was more than enough, even for 2 people. As mentioned, the sushi came with a salad that was quite refreshing with it’s light dressing and sunflower seeds. The sushi itself was pretty fresh, and I adored the little soy sauce containers they gave us. Not your average foil pack like here in the States. All the soups came in 2 different sizes, except the vegetable dumpling soup. It just came in a large. I guess they figured if you are a vegetarian, you do need to eat more. But the dumplings were yummy, the veggies nice and fresh, and the sunflower seeds seemed to make their way also into the soup, making it really nice. I did find the soup a little on the salty side, but oh well. For our first meal in London, it wasn’t bad at all. And I figured, if I couldn’t find anything else to eat, I’d definitely eat here again.
