Describing itself as ‘Fabulously British’, this is the primary outfitter for all students in the UK. Think gorgeous blondes with pashminas and slob around joggers, nonchalantly looking like they’ve stepped out of bed. This is like a middle class uniform, rugby shirts for the boys and lacrosse — esque kits for the ladies.
If you went to a red brick university outside of London, then most of your contemporaries will have been fitted out in this. It’s ok, great if you want to impress a very posh friend, and not as pricey as Crew and Gant, other middle class faves. It’s a bit teenage though, and I’m suspicious of those who wear it now. Maybe in the future when films are made about the great scholars of our time, they’ll be kitted out in this and we’ll be wishing we all wore it. We’ll see…
