James Purdey & Sons

We Made a special stop at James Purdey and Sons today. Their shotguns are some that do not need to be reviewed, they are the top in the world. I hope to own one someday. I have a collection of American Shotguns but none are in the same class, but they still allow me to run 25 in a row. I was treated with much respect, while I admired their shop. I bought a couple of items and afterwards the salesman gave me pointers on the other gun shops. We did not have time to view them, but I would of liked to have. Very nice area not far from the Austin Martin Dealership and the BMW dealership just around the corner from the Hilton, a Esso gas station on Park Lane and
Near the Memorial for the animals killed in the wars.
Again a very nice shop, with well trained polite salesmen who gave you space to admire their stock.

An amazing selection of shotguns for the discriminating gentlemen. If you have the privilege to peruse their selection Co side yourself lucky hand making shotguns for kings and Queens. I purchased a few items and can say they are the finest quality you will ever see.

Hand making shotguns since 1814 this master craftsman store has on display guns well over the £100,000 range.
Although obviously not in their customer base but still a gun owner I was made welcome and had a great tour of the store and talk about guns and hunting with 2 of the guys in suits on the showroom floor.
The store is full of historic guns and tools of the trade. I really wish there was some accessory I could bring myself to buy. But a shotgun is the only type of gun I do not own.

Purdey is definitely the most exclusive and expensive gun-​makers in the country.
Shall I say that Holland & Holland is Purdey’s top competitor
Purdey do these unique and exclusive design in their Casino/​Bridge playing cards set and I’ve purchased about four of them. They come in two colours in the back of each playing card, Silver & Gun-​metal.
Do look out for the picture cards, King, Queen and Jack, you’ll find them intriguing
And I have to say, these Casino/​Bridge playing cards will make a really nice gift.
James Purdey & Sons are the Savile Row went it comes to shotguns and rifles.
Let’s just say, investing in a Purdey rifle/​Purdey shotgun is almost the same as purchasing a Patek Philippe watch. It’s just something that you would pass on as an inheritance.
Purchasing any item that is branded Purdey, whether it’s a shirt or tie, with the Purdey label, or just anything is basically an item for life.
Purdey’s seem to have exceptionally high-​end quality country clothing for women.
And I’ve know a lot of women who have purchased clothing and accessories from Purdey.

Wow — what a toy shop this is for some. The most well know and respected Gun makes in London and probably the world. If you have reached the very top in shooting you will probably want to own the best gun that money can buy. Steeped in History this London gun maker offers the most exclusive in hand mage bespoke guns available in the world today.
The shop in South Audley Street has various guns on show and for sale along with the obligatory clothing and accessories. Guns cost a lot of money and a pair of 12 gauge will set up back upwards of £80 000 and they also manufacture rifles for game hunting.
If you want the best then only Purdey will do.
