Ok, so we went to Jamie’s Oliver restaurant, I wanted for a long time to eat in one of his places. From the moment I walked inside, there is this young casual vibe among the staff and you can see on display Jamie’s signed products. The menu is not easy to read, has an overall italian influence with choices from breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. We were not so hungry and we’ve chosen some appetizers that we’re light and actually delicious. the wine selection is really good as well, overall it was a happy experience

Ordered just one dirty dog before watching les miserable. Quick service, limited selection but should be good enough as being a fast food take away shop, of cos you can stay there they have seats in below too. Bread a bit too soft, not crispy enough, sausage quality soso but I like the sweet n spicy sliced pork on top. Would love to try their burger n wings in my next visit.

Bad service, good food. Had the chicken basket, and split it with a friend because we wanted to get dessert later that night. Waiter seemed very annoyed we wanted to share.

Came in to seek refuge from the rain… Absolute mistake… They have clowns in the kitchen/bar… Our culinary expectations for london were not very high but this diner doesnt belong in this business. Decent service however.

For years I have wanted to try one of Jamie’s restaurants as I love his shows and books. I was hoping to be overwhelmed! Maybe my mistake was coming to the American diner type place? I don’t know, but I definitely wasn’t overwhelmed. Not disappointed either, mind you! But first things first. The décor is great! Dinosaurs everywhere! I love dinos, so I was delighted with the way this place is decorated, they really won my heart. The staff was nice enough, though the bouncer downstairs was a bit on the rude side. I had to wait for ten minutes to be seated and when I was finally allowed to go upstairs, there were plenty of empty tables. Not sure what that was about. Once I was seated though, the service was great and super friendly and accommodating. I had a pasta dish, which was quite average in quality, as well as a very rich chocolate cake for dessert, which was quite amazing! Overall I was still happy with the experience and would still recommend the diner, just don’t have overly high expectations.

I was walking the streets of London, when I found a place that chicken wings! Jamie Oliver ’ s wing were really good bbq taste to them. What I found unique at the few place I had wings while visited England was that they don’t separate them like we do in the states(check out my pictures.

The family and I were excited to try out this place since we’re fans of Jamie Oliver’s cookbooks and show but we really wish we had not rushed in famished after going to the theatre and had read the previous Unilocal reviews. The good: music was great, décor fun, amused by the dinosaur pun but could do without it. Staff friendly and attentive. Fries were really tasty and I’m not a huge fan of rosemary on my fries but it wasn’t too much. My son had the chicken burger which he thought was alright. My daughter had the mac and cheese which she thought was ok but not good enough to finish the whole thing. My other son and I had diner dogs. He says the brioche bun tasted like stale wheat bread. I wasn’t impressed either. The dog itself was fine. Maybe the restaurant paid attention to a previous reviewer about the ketchup because we were told beforehand the dog came with both mustard and ketchup. We liked the cole slaw. Oh, also had the vanilla milkshake which was small and not that great and certainly not good enough for the price. The prices are high for what you get. All in all we were disappointed. Jamie Oliver, I’m sorry to say, not your best.

A Pop Up Dinosaur themed diner restaurant. Food is reasonably priced. Food was ok but quite simple i.e. burger just had lettuce and tomatoe in it none of the trimmings in what you expect basically if you want a brilliant burger at a reasonable price with all the trimmings then try GBK instead. The location is set in Picadilly which is a good place as there is plenty around to do in that area. However this restaurant is good if you have a family of kids and want to try something different from your normal fast food outlet.

This review is for Jaime Oliver’s Diner which is exactly that — a diner. Informal, quick and easy to dine in. No reservations needed so it was perfect for a quick stop. This is for a quick meal on the go — we were cruising and shopping Picadilly Square and found this TV food celeb diner and we tried it. Very good food for the diner restaurant. If you want his top notch restaurant — go to Fifteen, Italian, or London Bridge and expect to wait for days to get a dinner reservation. Please don’t complain about this place which is not a 5 star, boutique, fancy, or cater to those $$$$ folks. If you want to complain, try and get a reservation at one of his fancy London restaurants… Back to this review: Burger, chips(fries), and veggie burger was ordered. Burger was excellent — done just right(medium) and very tasty beef — much tastier than US beef! Juicy and good fresh taste. Only thing I missed was the lack of slice of onion which I always love on my burger. Fries were fresh, crisp, and very tasty!
Good wine list and water was bottled which is what you want since tap water in London tastes funny to an American. The only issue was their«ketchup» was actually tomato sauce which made the fries taste funny. Had to splash some hot sauce to get flavor back… Go here for a quick bite without waiting or the long reservation list of Jaime’s other London restaurants…

2.5 I was very excited to come upon this Jamie Oliver diner joint… But the experience just went downhill from there. I ordered the«most popular» beef burger and it fell short of my expectations. I can rattle off 20+ burger joints that have better burgers. The brioche bun looked good but was dry. The beef was also dry. And the coleslaw that came for«free» was super dry. The cabbage slices were so dry, that the think pieces of cabbage had discoloured to a dry, chalky-white color. I will not be dining here again. Waste of stomach space IMO.

We love Jamie Oliver so I am very disappointed to be giving this place anything less than 5 stars but I take my Unilocaling seriously and I have to be honest. We were SO excited as we found this place just walking around Piccadilly! We didn’t hesitate to go inside. The décor is … interesting.. . Some of the booths were just plywood. We tried to tell ourselves this was some cool modern styling but it made us feel like maybe they weren’t done with the place yet. I get the whole«organic» feel(especially when our food came) but we didn’t care for it. We took a seat on the second floor near the window which was great as we could watch all the people passing by. The table and chairs, however, were not very comfortable. The service was ok, but there seemed to be a lot of servers for not too many people and instead of that resulting in a lot of attentive service, they spent most of their time in a group chatting. The food was tasty and I understand the small portions based on Jamie’s philosophies, but the meal just wasn’t filling. We had to have an early dinner that night as we were both starving just an hour or so later. My son liked his lemonade but I thought both drinks were horribly bitter. It was not a terrible lunch but we were expecting a lot better. Maybe we should not have had any expectations? Even still I think it would have gotten 3 stars from me.

Ok, I am not sure what to say. I was a bit disappointed. Be careful what you order — read reviews prior to your visit. Because I think you should go here if you are in for one of the best desserts ever! Their mudcake! We had blackened fish and meatball. Being from the motherland of meatballs I do not know what that was?! It was just hard. If that’s the way it was supposed to be, it was not of my liking. A bit slow service. I like the décor though.

I’ve never ate at a celebrity chefs restaurant before and I have to say I will do it again. Located in Piccadilly Circus the Diner had a very American feel to it with traditional American food eg. Burgers, ribs, sandwiches. It was packed so we he to wait 10 min which was ok because the host was really nice and vibrant and recommended dishes and talked to us it was one of the best waits for a meal i think you can get. The décor was based off of a diner-saur theme and was really cool, lots of cool stuff to look at to keep you busy. Now the service was really good our waitress’s recommended and answered our questions all with a smile. We ordered for a starter the chicken wings, hot fried squid and the ribs. It was really tasty but you don’t receive much but I guess it’s the point of the starter but tasted really good. For the main course I had the Chicken in a bucket which I think I have to say was the best chicken I had ever. It was so juicy and spiced was really good and when you squeezed a lemon on top it just made the flavours POP! Overall it was really good dining experience and a good way to enjoy a dinner or lunch and for a the quality of food and service not bad prices.

Pfui pfui ekelerregend… voller Schimmel. Da sollte Jamie unbedingt nach zuverlässigerem Reinigungspersonal schauen. Für uns ein Flop.

I am a huge fan of Jamie Oliver’s restaurant but I’m not a huge fan of diners. However, my sister and I really enjoyed our meal. We weren’t very hungry but we ended up finishing everything! The chicken in a basket was delicious. It comes with fries and the fries are coated with some of the juices from the chicken(sounds gross but it’s absolutely delicious). We also ordered the guac and chips and I LOVE guac so I am usually very picky with it but both my sister and I inhaled the guac. It is probably one of the best guacs I have had at a restaurant that is not Mexican. I’m hoping that next time, we’ll be able to try the ribs! The people sitting next to us had ordered it and it looked amazing. Overall, I had a great dining experience. The service was great and the décor is fun and quirky! I love it!!!

If you fancy a quick bite to eat in Central London, then you can’t really beat this place. The location is good, the service is very good and the food was tasty. I had the beef burger, which is one of the best burgers I had in ages. Try to sweet potato fries also, they are very nice.

Stay away. I don’t even know where to begin. The vibe is okay. The drinks are solid. The décor was cute. The service was fine. But the food was atrocious. Like I could not believe it. I was profoundly confused as to how I was at a restaurant(albeit casual) bearing the name of a renowned chef. The wing starters were virtually tasteless. A complete waste of calories. I asked the waitress’ opinion on whether to get the chicken basket or the ribs and she clearly, and unmistakably urged me to get the ribs. The ribs were just awful. First off, they were scrawny as hell(but expected because everything is grass-fed, super organic. Fine. But ugh. The sauce had WAYTOOMUCHVINEGAR. Like, I understand that it’s a British interpretation of American food, but it was virtually inconsumable. The fries/chips were just okay, but probably the best thing I had there. The macaroni and cheese was meh. The BF’s chicken sandwich was similarly disappointing. We did not stay for dessert.

This review will be a bit biased. Why? Because you know, in the life of a man born at the end of 80s there is one movie which deserve the rank of role model, which created and made you what you are right now(ok maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit?!). If girls cry every time they saw the Lion King, for me there is only one Saint Graal. JURASSICPARK. And this place have them. It has DINOSAURS!!! M****F*** dinosaurs all over the place!!! Ok so, heavy breath and let’s start: As a saturday night with some friends in the very center of London, without having booked anything, find a place where to eat could be a little difficult: lucky us, at 22PM we tried this place(I admit it, I just came here because of the name of Oliver and his tv shows, Did I already say I grew up in the 90s, didn’t I!?), waited less than 5 mins and entered. And, it must be told, this place has one of the best set-up I ever seen in my life: a 50s diner with dinosaurs, damn it that’s brilliant! Everything is carefully prepared: from the water jug, to the tables, to the waiter’s clothes, everything is just RIGHT! The menu is brilliant(It’s the exact replica to the one you’ll find on their website), the selection of food is easy, as a diner should be: we have chicken, hot dogs and burgers(the latter one are fully customizable), american(mostly) beer, milkshakes and american pies. If we are going to speak about the food, well it’s not that great: first of all, you can’t choose(or at least that’s what our waiter told us) the degree of doneness(I’m not sure this word does exist in english, but I like it so. I’m creating it!!) of the meat: What?! I know it’s illegal to have it as I like it(I ask for«as bloody as it’s legal») but still, I can’t believe you can’t make me a well done or a medium burger! Anyway… The burger per se is not bad, but nothing you will do a backflip on the chair: it’s just normal. Better story for the side meals: Avocado fries are just brilliant, and normal fries are really good! Desserts deserve a mention: at first I was really disappointed by the lack of 2 over 4 dishes(come on, you are Jamie Oliver’s diner, not a family running bistro! How can you have be over on 2 over 4 desserts!?! are half of your kitchen at home sick!?!), but then my key lime pie and a mud pie came: I’m a salty person, I don’t usually like sweet tastes, and those were amazing! Not too much sweet(Yes, I’m really saying it, the MUDPIE is not that sweet! believe me, try it, eat it and thank me!!), very beautiful dessert! good job! Ok that probably went too far, so I’ll make it short: we have a 3⁄5 stars for the food(Yes, even if sides where really, really good the main dishes weren’t that great, and that’s unbearable full stop.) BUTTHENWEHAVEDINOSAURS!!! DAMNITDINOSAURS!!! Bring your family, bring your friends, damn bring your girlfriend here, and if she will enjoy the place, well, that’s the girl of your life!

We came for the hot dogs. We had walked passed the pop-up counter below and saw the delicious-looking range of hot dogs and figured we’d go upstairs, have a drink, try this Americanized Diner in one of London’s most touristy spots and get a hot dog. Here’s the thing. They don’t serve hot dogs upstairs. It’s only downstairs in the pop-up that you can grab a dog(even though right near the upstairs window, there’s a neon sign that says something like«Try a hot dinodog.») Ooook. So we decided to split our meal in two, Try the diner first and then make our way downstairs to Jamie Olivers Dog House for a hot dog. Review on that one to come. However, this diner… I wanted to love it. I wanted to be overwhelmed. And I was just, eh. You wait outside as a bouncer holds your back until they call for you. We waited about five minutes until being sent up to the top of the stairs to put our name on the list. We then waited another five minutes before being seated. The diner is an all American dinosaur themed restaurant. Why these things go together, I’m not sure, but there are dinosaur paintings, dinosaur shoes above the bar and a giant dinosaur that looks like it’s about to eat the guests in the middle of the room. Our waiter put down the menus(that were sans-hot dog) and we decided to split a burger with cirspy bacon(to see if they could do it right) and avocado fries. The burger was good, not great but not terrible, although the bacon was done very well. The avocado fries, as it turns out, were hot, baked and lightly crispy avocado slices. I’ve never had anything like them in my life and still can’t tell if I liked them or not. Hot avocado. That’s a new one. A nice selection of beers here, including a few local choices. I’d stay away from the cocktails though. Overpriced and nothing fancy. The service was iffy. All the waiter and waitresses wore crazy pieces of flair(like a light up badge that scrolled«Here’s My Number, Call Me Maybe» in neon) and dressed in down-home denim. We were rarely checked on all night ansd the food came without any condiments. When I couldn’t get our server’s attention, I actually had to borrow the ketchup from the table next to us. My experience got much better in the hot dog shack below. I’d just stick there if you’re interested in this spot(and, of course, want a hot dog.)
