I have had my hair cut there a good number of times. Granted, it might not the cleanest barber shop ever, however, I have never left disappointed. The service is fast, but they take the time to cut your hair to your liking. For 10 quid a cut, there isn’t much to complain about!

Came here for the first time to get a wet head shave. I usually go to Sampson’s Barbers further down Holloway Road near Highbury Corner, but they were shut on a Saturday. For some reason, I don’t think I’ve seen that place open for the last month or so. Any how, walked in, and you know how first impressions work. The place was pretty dirty(I know, it’s a barber shop, I guess it’s supposed to be that way). They started clipping my hair with some dirty clippers that they hadn’t cleaned off from the previous customer, which I thought was pretty weird. Then, instead of using proper shaving cream, they applied this cold shaving gel… it honestly felt like I was about to get my head scanned or something. The barber had a hard time inserting a blade in his razor… which honestly, when you’re about to go ‘under the knife’, so to speak… doesn’t inspire much confidence. The boss told him to take his razor… and off we went… This was not the best shave ever. Did I get cut or injured? Was blood drawn? Absolutely not… so that’s I guess the good news. The bad news was that it took for bloody ages, and that this was not even a close shave. I get a closer shave at home in half the time it took them to do my head. I think that honestly, this was a 10er wasted. I won’t be planning to come back here any time soon…
