Take away shop with nice coffee. Lots of salads, sandwiches, quick and easy. A dieter’s dream with calorie counts everywhere. The food has a lovely focus on fresh and healthy, and you can get other hit things that aren’t just soups and toasted sandwiches. They have hot pots and tagines and everything is colourful with veg. Hot pots come with healthy type carbs like brown rice. They have the most amazing looking salads with broccoli and seeds etc and, whilst I haven’t had a sandwich, they were very enticing, and again colourful with greens. Can get busy in peak lunch times…

Lovely little shop. The food is lovely — sandwiches, salad boxes, hot pots, fruit juices, smoothies etc. Good selection. Mostly prepared on the premises so they are nice and freshly made. A good independent alternative to the franchise giants. The staff at Keen are absolutely charming — very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Keen offer tasty food made on the premises, competitive prices and most of all, an impressive attitude when it comes to customer service. Like Linzi says, Keen offer a good range of sandwiches, tangines and other hot food. Their coffee and food is among the best in the area — it’s obvious that they’ve really made an effort to stand out from their competitors. Bread is typically stone-baked, and many of the ingredients French in origin(always a positive for this Francophile), like the classic ham and emmental combo and the French butter in their croissants. Their brownies are jaw-droppingly good, in a handily small size and welcome low price(£1). But my favourite aspect of them is their enterprising spirit and friendly attitude to customers. They go out of their way to get to know you — again, as Linzi says, it’s clear they want to be an active, positive part of the Victoria community. Today I even discovered that they very laudably offer a 15−20p discount(approx.) on their coffee for those people bringing their own mug. Surprisingly few cafes offer this, despite the unquestionable financial and environmental benefits for café, customer and the world generally, so Keen deserve a lot of credit. They’ll also be getting a lot of my custom as a result, even though they’re a fair walk from my office. Bravo!

Best rice pudding in London! The staff are very friendly, food perfectly cooked and seasoned, and prices are very cheap!

Woohoo! This place is as good as it gets! Good people, good food, good prices. Can’t recommend it more. Amazing alternative to Pret — that is now too present around London. Coffee is great — they use Origin who are amazing people in Cornwall. It’s super rare to find, so makes this place even better. Will be coming back.

This place has awesome food and service. I’ve never reviewed a café or restaurant before, but I was so impressed I was compelled to do one for Keen. I wandered into the shop partly because I’d noticed it earlier in the day and thought mediterranean hot pots sounded interesting, but also because I was trying to make sure I’d lost the weird guy that seemed to be following me. One of the owners, Eduardo I think his name was, greeted me and offered samples of a few of the hot pots. The three I sampled were all delicious! After I’d paid for my food Eduardo went out of his way to help me when I thought I’d lost my keys. Unfortunately I’m not from London so won’t be able to go back regularly, but I hope they get enough custom to still be here next time we visit!

This place is cool. In fact, you could say I’m keen on it. Maaaaawwwh. Puns. Anyway, kidding aside, Keen is a brand new hipster coffee/lunch place that just opened in the soulless wasteland that is Victoria. In fact that and a Pret opened on the same corner, yet my co-workers come back every day with white Keen lunchbags. Suck it, Pret. Keen is a start-up by two cute English and French guys, they cook everything on the premises so it’s fresh and made with great ingredients! They serve sandwiches on proper good artisan sourdough and brioche, fresh salads and hot pots of soup and chicken dishes. They also make fancy hipster coffee. Obviously. Mostly I love that they have little pots of chocolate mousse, fruit and posh yoghurts, for only £1.50, already making it better value than Pret. They are super friendly and obviously excited to be part of the community around here. My office love it for a reason and if you work around here, you should definitely support this little guy.
