Very lovely park, and great day! Plenty of fun activities and delicious morsels to be tempted by.

I just left, but it was excellent, the Unilocal members as always warm friendly and engaging. The Adult theme was a good one. I love kids but why should they have all the fun, heee. The ice creams and adult lollies were yummy, pineapple and passion fruit smoothies, with a drop of rum. Treasure hunt was fun, with the glass of Presco afterwards for your efforts. Enjoyed this event very much.

What an amazingly eccentric and beautiful park! This space isn’t new, it isn’t cutting edge or shiny. It has a few rough edges, but whatever it lacks in wow factor, it makes up for with undeniable charm. If Wes Anderson made a movie based in a park, it would undoubtably be here — the place has quirky hipsterdom out the wazoo. Not to mention it’s run by an incredible group of folks that dedicate their time to working with children with disabilities. All in all, there are a lot of nostalgic fuzzy feelings happening within these gates. From the hilarious birds nest with the giant comical tongue, to the pirate ship, teepees and tire swings — this is your five year old self’s dream(or, if you have a little one… theirs). This space is under threat of being shut down and it truly would be a loss to the community. There aren’t a lot of places like this tucked in and around these days and it is well worth doing what you can to preserve the memories. I don’t live in the area, or even in the city but I was absolutely touched by the character and stories surrounding this play space. Definitely worth checking out. Definitely worth pitching in. Love. Love. Love.
