Really overrated and overpriced. There isn’t an awful lot to say about these. I think they can often be rather bland too. They look great, they taste. fine. But not worth the calorie guilt trip afterwards. Might as well go the whole hog and have a huge cream cake instead.

You’ve had a long day in London and you’ve got time to kill because your train to Reading/Swindon/Bristol/Cardiff/Exeter has been cancelled? Then treat yourself to a doughnut. You’ll never have paid quite so much for one doughnut but you won’t regret it, as they are definitely Luxury doughnuts, packed with filling and flavour(and sugar). Too over-priced to eat on a regular basis but get one for the train and you’ll just be a little bit happier.

Spent the day in London, so en route home leaving from Paddington I was pleased to find the store open, although stocks were very diminished. Upset that the single glazed rings were sold out but they had boxes of 12, one only of the chocolate selection which I tried to rugby tackle a gent and his other half for I’m ashamed to say. Being the better person, I let him have it(the box of doughnuts. not a fist fight). I then purchased a box of 12 sugar glazed rings for £7.45.well worth it. Waited patiently for the train to pull out before me and my mates dove in. Seconds of orgasmic sounds from 4 girls coming from 1st class. A bemused train conductor. They taste absolutely heavenly. I have 4 left which I promised to my nephews… they may accidentally have fallen on the floor by lunch time.

Krispy Kremes is a great donut shop. It can be expensive though. Even though you are spending a bit of money on a donut you know you are not going to be dissapointed. The service is great and so is the food. Even though the donuts are quite fatty, they are a great treat for all. The donuts are fresh, and there are different varieties all to suit your taste buds.

There seem to be Krispy Kreme shops only in train stations, but I was seeing off my brother(not in a sinister way, he was getting the Swansea train) and he was over the moon to see a Krispy Kreme shop. He claims there are no Krispy Kreme outlets in Wales, which surely can’t be true? There’s a stand in my local Tesco, surely there must be one in the whole of Wales? Anyway, he was very excited. The doughnuts are good, but are really really really really sweet and are extraordinarily calorific. I don’t think they are AMAZING, but my brother does. The service in here is pretty good, American influenced I guess. The doughnuts are a bit too expensive for my liking, although I suppose it stops you eating loads and having a heart attack.

It is rare in a train station at a fast food type outlet to get good service. I was pleasantly surprised by this Krispy Kreme which seems to pride itself not only on excellent customer service, but on remembering people and trying to give them even better service by offering suggestions based on past purchases. I have always had a good latte from this shop as well as being offered samples of new coffee flavours. The staff remember what doughnuts I have purchased before and suggest new ones for me to try. I have to say, I am surprised and almost shocked at the high quality of customer service at this shop. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are some of the yummiest doughnuts around possibly because of the extremely high amount of sugar and fat in them. These are cooked offsite but brought in fresh so that they can be enjoyed the same day while fresh. The main website does give great information on calorie and fat contents so you can look up just how bad you’ve been while munching on their deliciousness. While possibly not as good as Tim Hortons, Krispy Kreme doughnuts are lovely.
