Lunchtime see’s queues for this place around the block. But the queues move fast. No wonder. The food is very good quality for something buffet style. For 5 pounds you get a very decent large container that will be stuffed to the brim with the rice or noodles and the 3… yes 3 selection of different sauces all of which are tasty. I like the spicy pork with onions. To cap it off you are then given choice of mixed vegetables or 2 spring rolls. No wonder it’s busy all the time.

My friend is a regular here. He introduced the shop to me saying it is called Kung Food, like Kung Fu. Every Friday he takes home something from here. Being curious I tasted some of his roasted pork. It was amazing. I must say this place is great value for money. Very affordable and a wide variety of options. By the way if you are going to this branch remember that the door doesn’t close completely. It is always partly opened. Not so comfy sitting near the door while waiting for your order on a winter day. When I asked the cashier why the door wasn’t closing, she said, «it is like that». That reminded of us software engineers who claim certain bugs aren’t bugs, they are features.

A brilliant cheap-chinese place right across from Liverpool station. The £5 lunch is one of the best deals I have found in London. Great selection of items in such a small space, and pretty tasty!

Nice Chinese takeaway. Good dry ribs and duck. Prices seem Ok and there arent too many other Chinese takeaways in the area.

The brilliant name of this business meant that I had to give it a go one lunch time. Kung Food is popular with the City lunch time crowd and offers meal deals for £5 which have nap inducing effects in the office on long afternoons.
