Nice service, you’ll need something else with a wrap but the breakfasts are always pretty good whether it’s a full English or eggs benedict.

It’s a café. With pictures from movies or black and white stills of actresses etc. Red interior with italian food paraphernalia hanging about(garlic, chillies, cheese wheels). Its more interesting looking than the usual café I’ll give them that. It was a cold january morning and yet they had their front door open the entire time. I ended up wrapping up in my scarf, should’ve just asked her to close the door but silly that they did that in the first place. Ordered the eggs benedict, I have come to understand that not everyone knows how to make this properly and I was right again, they served me poached eggs atop ham and rounded bread with salad dressing and butter in small bowls on the side… One star gone there buddeh. but it was cheap and the americano was ok and the service was quick. I’ll just try a different dish if I come back.

A horrible place, I can’t believe it is still open. I ordered eggs benedict. The english muffin had obviously been microwaved and so ended up being tough and impossible to cut. The ‘ham’ was not the sort of ham you expect with eggs benedict(i.e. real ham) but the slimey square stuff you get in the lunch meat section of the supermarket. The hollondaise sauce was blatantly out of a bottle, and the amount given was about a teaspoon. The most baffling thing was that it all came disassembled(is assembly extra?) When I looked confused the waiter said ‘what?’ and I explained that I had never seen eggs benedict come in all separate parts before. He said in a rather rude voice ‘That is how it is.’ I then asked for more hollondaise sauce. He said ‘that is how it is served here.’ I asked if I could have more please, and would it cost extra, to which he said ‘I will bring you another portion and not charge you as it is your first time here, but next time you will be charged because that is what eggs benedict is here.’ Okay, then I won’t ever return and thus will never have to pay extra for cheap, cold, bottled hollandaise sauce to put on my slimey processed ham slices. Thanks!

Simply, if you like the movie, La Dolce Vita, then you will like this restaurant as it is modelled on the movie, I haven’t seen it myself but think that I would like to now. I had an all day breakfast at around two, and it just fine, though the chef was constantly shouting something in Italian, and the waitress just seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. I was waiting for my girlfriend and there was still time to spare, and didn’t want to hear his moans and groan, so I opted to go outside and have a coffee, which was a nice option to have, otherwise I would have left. What is great is the décor, movie themed and presented well, I think that I just caught them on a bad day with the shouting etc, if it is like that everyday, then I am not surprised that not many people were in there.

This little Kilburn Café is styled in the theme of the Italian movie ‘La Dolce Vita’. They have loads of black and white photgraphs dotted around and their interior is surprisingly nice, not hwat you would expect from the outside. They have outdoor seating which is always full on the summer days. From my experience the breakfast and lunches are better than the larger meals. They do an all day breakfast which is pretty good and I like their omlettes. However the meat dish i had their last time was way over cooked and the staff seemed a bit miserable. Overall i get the impression it’s a bit hit and miss. They often have some good deals on food and drink though so if you’re after something quite light to eat or just a good coffee then this one of the better cafes in the local Kilburn area.

One of the better brunch places in kilburn. The Omlettes are particularly good with chips and salad and the coffee is good. Service is friendly and fast which is a bonus.

ok for a coffee and sandwich but this place has gone downhill less people empty except for lunch and the main chef is so unfriendly and gets angry if you question something, waitresses are not allowed to talk to you and many have said chef is a control freak. nice surroundings but meat is always stale and overcooked and microwaved. nasty place, miserable people from a local kilburnite thats knows kilburn and london well

La Dolce Vita café in Kilburn High Road is a sweet little place, styled in the theme of the Italian movie ‘La Dolce Vita’. Adorned with black and white photgraphs and a red interior, the surroundings are somewhat pleasant to the eye. There’s outdoor seating for those can brave the cold weather to have a smoke or for the rest of us it’s cosy inside until spring or even summer hits us. La Dolce Vita serves an all day breakfast, various Italian dishes and a large selection of hot and cold beverages. I think my only disappointment was that they didn’t serve black pudding with the breakfast…(I’m half Irish, so black pudding is a must).
