This is an unpretentious authentic Italian restaurant where the owner makes everything from scratch. The prices are reasonable and the pizza is delicious.

Been there to have a quick lunch. Pizzas were okay but not of a standard that you would expect from an authentic pizzeria, in fact most pizza chains would serve better stuff. They only reason I am actually giving three stars for the fantastic calamari with tomato and chilli starter which give me the impression that they might do good pasta dishes.

Finally finally finally. Been living here all my life and this place has been here for as long as I can remember and I’ve never been. It’s an old converted loo so my missus was never keen but I persuaded her one weekday lunchtime when we were both at home. get it over and done with type thing. An unpromising start inasmuch as it was freezing in there, not what you want from your local pizza joint. The decour has a 70s feel about it. Like, it hasn’t been touched since the 70’s. Peeling walls, chrome edged chairs scraping on hard tiles. I was feeling guilty for dragging my missus in. But the food itself, A-OK. Phew. I ordered a tomato soup that was most definitely freshly made, full of flavour. The best bit was that I asked for bread and got ripped up pizza dough which was delicious. chewy and slightly sour, just how I like it. The guy knows what he’s doing with the dough. My pizza was OK. A bit shabby with the toppings. Not authentic like Tarantella or Canta Napoli up the road. But not bad either. I guess you could get a far far better pizza from Canta Napoli for probably 50p more so I mark this place down but the guy does take away and if you live in the Ravenscourt Park area this is a viable place to grab one and go home to the warmth of your own house. I give it 2 stars but in truth the food would get 2.5 to 3. But the restaurant itself is pretty unwelcoming although the old man running it was perfectly charming and his dough works a treat. So I feel guilty giving 2 stars. but I’m sticking with it.

Cold building, paint peeling off walls, ambiance totally lacking in warmth and then food hugely overpriced. One man attempting to serve tables and cook results in burned pizza and ‘fling alls’ such as I could cook at home on a lazy day clearing out fridge. Best avoided.

The owner is very nice and it has become one of those place we take all our visiting friends to. The food is made by a real italian and you can definitely tell, the pizza and pasta are very good and it is a very relaxed atmosphere. I recommend for an easy dinner out or take away!

I went here for dinner a few nights ago. They have a pretty standard selection of pastas and pizzas. I ordered the Margherita Pizza. I like the crust, but the sauce was a little bland. There was hardly any basil. We also ordered a vegetarian fusili which was pretty good. The sauce was well flavored and had a good amount of peppers and aubergine. The service was so-so though the place wasn’t very crowded. It’s ok in a pinch, but there are plenty of better pizza and Italian choices in the area.

La Piccola is an excellent local Italian in a converted former toilet just opposit the top of Ravenscourt Park. Don’t let the toilet thing put you off. You don’t come here for the décor, but the food, which is authentic Italian that tastes twice as good as high end restaurants at half the price. Go with the specials board and you won’t be disappointed. Agnello Diavolo and Steak Boscaiola(apologies in advance for spelling) are particular favourites. Calzone also very good. Pino, the owner, is from Napoli but has lived in the UK for 30 years. He can always recommend a good bottle of wine.

We were invited to come here a while back for one my friend’s private birthday party. We were around 20 people and we all fit quite comfortably in the very homely pizza place. The tables and chairs look quite out of style but l like that, they are not pretending to be one of those swanky do places that are so in at the moment and not very nice. The food consisted of pizza squares in veggie form or meaty form. I distinctly remember enjoying the pepperoni squares. The veggie stuff wasn’t as nice, a bit bland for my taste. The wine was ok, but again nothing amazing, it was after all the house wine. The service was very competent and the night flowed naturally and effortlessly, it was a nice party and the fairy lights cris-crossed with the fake vine leaves around the restaurants wall, although tacky looked very unique.
