Lavang Spice

Reasonable prices, and tasty food! My entrée was a tasty garlic chicken tikka, but I particularly liked their version of saag paneer, which had some extra ingredient I couldn’t place.
To top it off, they provided moist towelettes to clean your fingers :)

No frills quality curry. Eat in, take away and delivery.
Having moved to London from Manchester where I lived within waddling distance of the curry mile I’ve always been sniffy about curry in London. Luckily for me I moved to East London and found Lavang Spice (or Victoria Park Tandoori as it was then called) where I’ve been eating now for about 8 years. In that time I’ve not once had a bad meal.
The curry here is seriously tasty, cheap and the service is friendly but often a bit slow.
I strongly recommend the house specialities menu although everything here is good. A lot of places tend to rely on making your dish so hot you can’t taste how bad it is or dish up soggy bland curry. The food here is spicy, well cooked and comes in generous portions.
Despite being recently renovated the décor is still pretty basic but the food and friendly staff make up for that. Not somewhere to impress a date but a great place for a big meal or a long relaxed evening. Once you’re seated the table is yours all night as they wouldn’t dream of hurrying you away.
