Didn’t have a reservation, so we sat on the patio. My husband and I both had a drink, and shared oysters and the tomato salad with fried goat cheese — everything was delicious. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, even while dealing with another party who were being rude to her.

Decent food and good wine list. A good place to go for the night maintaining a high standard. Wine list would make your night even better with the view of tower bridge. Try it, recommended!

Amazing wine list and amazing food — I would really recommend the sea trout. The setting is perfect with perfect views over tower bridge if you ask for a seat overlooking the river. Perfect for a date or business dinner.

My girlfriend chose Le Pont de la Tour for their special lunch prefix at 20GBP for two courses. Figured why not take advantage and have a nice Friday ladies lunch. Food: We ordered the english asparagus spears and the salmon gravlax for our starters. For entrees we ordered the roasted pork fillet and the portobello mushroom and potato tian. Every dish was very well presented and full of flavours. Drinks: We ordered two glass of white wine. Price: 68.06GBP for two people. Just a note, our wines were 10.00GBP each. Ambiance: We sat outside because the weather was nice and the view of the tower bridge while having lunch was pretty awesome. Service: The service was very professional. From our servers to the sommelier, everyone was top notch. Would I go back? Yes. Next time I would like to try the Brasserie which is next door to the main restaurant.

This place has an amazing view of the London Bridge. I mean come on, even the name is french for it. I ordered the escargot for appetizer and it was really tasty and juicy. and they’re quite large sized snails. The texture was perfect and not chewy. The main entrée I ordered was the lamb chops and it was cooked to a very nice medium yet the chef managed to make the outside fat crunchy. It was delicious and very gamey. The dessert I ordered was my favorite… The lemon tart was perfectly balanced in tarty-ness and sweetness. The french vanilla pairing was so creamy and not too sweet. If you are here, you have to order this dessert. Make sure you sit outside in the patio and watch the view of the london bridge and people passing by.

Hmm! Now this is a tricky one, because I actually went to the Butlers Wharf Blackout Banquet, not really Le Pont De La Tour. The menu comprised a combination of dishes from all four restaurants along the riverside; Le Pont De La Tour, Blueprint Café, Cantina De la Pont and Butlers Wharf Chophouse. Anyway, it was a very rainy weekend when we booked to go to the banquet. My friend and I were a bit wary about the night. We were quite relieved to see the banqueting table was set-up under a very sturdy marquee — phew! Our marquee was set-up outside the Le Pont De La Tour. Seats were not reserved, it was a case of sit anywhere, which I think added to the fun — who knew who you could be sat next to and the place was a buzz with chatter. The table and surrounding area was candlelit, with a row of candles going down the centre of the table — beautiful and romantic. Everyone looks good in the soft yellow glow of a candles flame! At 8.30 the lights along the riverside went out too and Tower Bridge looked even prettier. We were a little bit late(naughty), but were informed that they would have our starters brought to us shortly. The hostess noted I had requested the vegetarian menu and assured me I would be okay with the starter as it was vegetarian and the kitchen would be informed of my dietary requirements. We got our«Swim Tonics» which were surprisingly delicious and refreshing. Only surprising for me because I’m not a fan of tonic water. I can’t stand its tangy, bitter taste. Then we found our seats and were served our starter. Dark lentils with tamarind sauce, pomegranate and celery. The lentils were delicious, the rest a bit meh! But the shocking disappointment was the distribution. My serving was about a dessert spoon sized portion of lentils, my friend’s was four times that! We got a bottle of house white from the bar, clean, fresh and very drinkable. But had a delay in getting a cooler as they had run out. The main came and fortunately it was fish(yes, I’m one of those type of vegetarians), trout. It was perfectly cooked and very tasty served with a cauliflour flapjack. Very enjoyable, but it would have been better if they had served some side dishes too or at least given us the option of ordering some. The dessert was a berry cheesecake with shortbread. But my friend made the mistake of being away from her seat when it was served. When she returned and asked for hers whe was told they had run out. She was served with what we were told was Le Pont De La Tour’s signature dish, it’s treacle tart. She wasn’t impressed after one mouthful, so I helped her dispose of it! ;D I liked it, but I have to admit it was extremely orangy and not very treacly. It was a great night but when they do it again next year I would advise you get there on time, don’t leave your seat and, if you’re a real vegetarian, make sure they give vegetarian dishes. It would be great and definitely impress if you’re on a date and would probably be a nice experience with a small group of friends. In relation to the actual restaurant, it looks like a lovely venue and I might go back sometime to see what it’s like for food.

Very disappointing. Came for the Butlers Wharf Banquet and after a 3 course meal, which I wouldn’t exactly say qualifies as a banquet I’m still hungry and feel like I’ve only eaten a starter. Upon arrival we were presented with a gin and tonic in a plastic bag containing a plastic goldfish. After waiting longer than anticipated to be served our starter, a crayfish salad arrived which was basically cherry tomatoes cut up and some crayfish thrown on top. Following this was wood pigeon served with a turnip and beetroot, the pigeon seemed to be a bit tough and the sides were so small you would need a magnifying glass to see them. Finally the dessert arrived which was coffee ice cream topped with candy fennel. It looked like plastic cubes and onion and it didn’t particularly taste of anything. They also served coffee which despite it’s colour tasted of water.

As a group dining experience it’s sometimes hard to make a fair assessment. We had a very limited menu due to the large work dinner. I wasn’t a huge fan of many things listed so my view is kind of skewed for Le Pont De La Tour London. The breads were nice and service was quite good. My starter of the Swordfish ceviche was ok. To be fair it was my first experience with a swordfish ceviche and I found it to be lacking in flavor however it was presented beautifully. The wines were nice but we only had red as an option for dinner so I don’t know if that was a choice of our organizer or we drank all the white available thus forcing us onto a red. lol Either way it did not pair well with my main of Sea brim. It was good and served with some veggies that were cooked fairly ok. We finished with desserts and coffee. I really enjoyed the Raspberry crème brûlée and some of my colleagues got the salted caramel ice cream which seemed a bit too rich but still good. As I said my review is sort of skewed due to this being an organized large group dinner. I can report that live piano music was good and hearing Lady GaGa being played was quite entertaining. I shall return for another try to experience the full menu because after all this American Southerner in London believes it’s the fair and gentlemanly thing to do y’all.
