Fantastic service with a smile(and a sarcastic joke). The owner has a real sense of humour. 15 years at Le Pot and 22 years with his chef; I can see why. The duck is fantastic, just the right amount to leave you wanting more while by no means needing it. Highly recommended as the locals favourite. I’d travel for it and do. Great wine that goes down a little too well in the relaxed atmosphere. Have spent many days returning after short trips for coffee, then again for beer in the sun and later for a cozy wine with friends. Fantastic place. Just remember to push the door hard as its stiff and grab bar men when you can as its neither table nor bar service but somewhere in between.

Very good food for breakfast. I will need to try other times of day to comment on the other menu items. Service was fare… nothing bad… nothing spectacular. The coffee was tasty. Give it a try.

Le Pot Lyonnais is definitely a good find for this area. The staff is all French and the food I found the food to be impressive. All of this contributes to the overall atmosphere that’s comfortably intimate with catchy music that still allows you to converse with the people you’re with if you’re not busy using your Shazam app to download it later. A few minor cons are that service tends to be slow even if the place isn’t packed, and it’d be nice if the prices were a bit lower. Either way, I’ve found myself coming here quite a few times mostly due to it’s convenient location and because I haven’t been disappointed. Try the eggs benedict if you’re there earlier in the day. In the evening they have a good wine selection to choose from and a menu with a wide selection and good meal presentation.

avoid if you can. i cannot see the attraction of hearing an chef/owner screaming in his kitchen, in the restaurant like a mad man. sorry, i want peace when i dine and good food, one was spoiled by the other, at a cost which is not justified. how can people enjoy this restaurant? i really do not know.

I don’t love this place like the previous reviewer… it’s just ok. I’ll admit that maybe it has something special about it the first time you go; the all french staff, the french papers, the parisienne café feel and and the exciting menu. The food is decent, if not expensive for what you get, and the aforementioned staff are quite keen. When you live 3 doors down from the place, the magic wears off. The outiside seats are always full of rah rah Charlies come the summer(their convertible audis parked outside only to prove a point) and the food has been known to vary wildly depending on which day you go. I wouldn’t bother with the brunch or breakfasts(much better fill available over the road from the Portuguese café!) but I would recommend at least going for a traditional french dinner — when they get it right it’s really rather good.

I love love love this place. Hesitatant to extol its virtues too much, as I really want it to remain a neighbourhood, low-key café/restaurant. I have been to Le Pot at least 20 times now and am rarely disappointed. The breakfasts are superb, and the bar menu for lunch and dinner just right. There is a good selection of large meals and smaller bites, and the wine list is extensive. Service has been a little hit and miss in the past, though it seems the management have been making a concerted effort to improve this over the last few months.

This changed from Le bouchon(still open on Battersea Rise) but it’s lovely. Very french, good staff, very accommodating. The breakfasts are great as is their steak sani! Their bread and their frites are to die for. There is a more formal dining room to the right and a laid back café/bar on the left. Would be a fab place to rent out as a whole for a do. Good stuff.
