Great sandwiches made by a dedicated Italian owner. A joyful day-to-day staple for those working near Bank in The City.

This is a real hidden gem of the City of London and is easily missed by those familiar with the area. The Little Gatsby has its loyal customer base and they are rewarded with top quality sandwiches at reasonable prices.

This is a small sandwich shop tucked away at the end of a small lane. I’ve walked past it many times in the past few months, and never considered getting lunch from there as the place did not look that appealing. Yesterday I decided to take a chance. They serve a variety of sandwiches and baguettes, and some hot breakfast food. There is quite an extensive list of sandwich fillings on the board behind the counter, but be aware that the prices written on the board do not correspond to what is the actual cost! I ordered the bacon, chicken, and ham baguette thinking it was £2.20, when instead of was £3.50! My baguette was overly disappointing, with the filling too salty and the baguette very soggy and tasting a bit stale. Furthermore, there was no salad in the baguette, not a single leaf just the filling. The size was rather small as well for the price paid. For me, I can’t even consider recommending this place when there are so many other sandwich shops around the area with much better sandwiches and for cheaper. Frankly, I’m surprised this shop is still surviving.
