I’ll admit it — 4* is probably quite generous for this tiny, no-frills, takeaway-oriented café — but for what it is, this place gets the job done and for quick inexpensive eats is one of the better propositions in the area. As I already mentioned, it’s definitely a takeaway place — there is very limited seating outside and only standing room with a small counter against the wall inside(well, «counter» is probably generous… more like a ledge.) But you get all the typical offerings like kebabs, burgers, and fish and chips, and with reasonable quality as well. I always appreciate having fresh-tasting veggies with my kebab. It’s worth the visit if you’ve got a long stop at Paddington Station and don’t want to eat at the typical chains inside, or if, like me, you find yourself in the hotels in the area quite often and are too lazy to make the walk to and down Edgware Road(where honestly many of the quick eats aren’t any better anyway).

This restaurant is pretty average at best. I could taste the wide variety of spices in the samosas. However, the samosas were half hot half icy suggesting that they are not so fresh. Other than the samosas, the rest of the food is also blatantly average.

Really not good!!! The«fresh» fish was battered and sitting in the window case and allegedly fresh. It was very mediocre and not much more indulgent than frozen fish sticks that I can make at home. The chicken doner kebab was a disappointment. Why doesn’t anyone have naan doner kebabs anymore?!

Neighborhood place popular with the locals. While nothing is brilliant the place if clean the skewers are fresh, thus place is far on the better side of the small halal take away

Pop in for some quick takeaway. Fish and chips fish and chips fish and chips lots of chips and tons of fish, even by my American standards. Us 3 gals couldn’t finish one order. Chips weren’t as crisp as I would have liked but the fish definitely was. We did end up coming back here quite often for falafels and juice.

They used to sell great fries. After the owner being changed, they start to provide mushy fries.

Lolita is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant just off one of the entrances to Paddington Station. It’s open late and serves some excellent Middle Eastern chow. We had some lamb curry, lamb kabob and chips(fries) – all were nothing short of excellent. It’s primarily takeaway, though there is some seating outside(not so great in the winter). We took ours back to the Colonnade Hotel(one tube stop away) and we can attest that Lolita’s food travels well. Service is brusque and English is limited. It has a Saturday Night Live«cheeseburger, cheeseburger» aspect to it, so don’t expect to be coddled. Tell them what you want and you’ll get it soon enough.

This place is a little hole-in-the-wall on Spring St., serving up kabobs, falafel, burgers and fish and chips. One thing I love about London, is the plethora of Middle Eastern food restaurants. Every blocks has some tiny shack, serving up amazing pita sandwiches. Lolita is no exception. I ordered one of the smaller chicken shawarma sandwich combos for the ridiculously cheap price of £3.00. The server basically took a piece of pita bread and stuffed it full of perfectly cooked and well seasoned chicken and then topped it with tomato, onion, lettuce, chili sauce, garlic sauce and a few other items. The server was extremely friendly and kept piling things on until it weighed close to a pound. My friends and I then enjoyed our meal outside on the sidewalk while people watching.
