NOSTARSFROMME. Just went in to get my son’s micro scooter fixed. I was quoted £15 and payed up front and they said they’d done the very same job the day before and that they would do it straight away… so far so good. However after waiting for half an hour, i overheard the manager saying to the man doing the repair that«if it takes much longer I will charge them more». of course it did take longer 20 minutes longer, by now my 3 year old son was beside himself with boredom and he did charge me more, £5 more. I told him i thought it unreasonable to say one price and then charge more when you find it harder than you thought it would be, but he insisted. So I payed up… I know I shouldn’t have but by I just wanted to get out of there and away from the rude manager. in fact the staff seemed a little embarrassed by his behavior… he must have form! It’s very local, but I won’t shop there again and you would do well to avoid it as well.

Very unfriendly and unhelpful staffpoor service. Its a shame as all it would have taken was a ‘hello’ and a smile, not a ‘bear with me’ and grumpy, unhelpful attitude, lots of huffing and puffing and sighing involved. Not sure why these types of personalities are hired in the customer service realm! I had to pay before the service was carried out, which I’ve never had to do before. I had my wheel changed and they didn’t bother to recalibrate the brakes, so when I cycled home I almost had an accident. I had asked whether they checked it was ok when I picked it up(politely) and all I got was ‘OFCOURSEITSFINE’ practically yelled at me. don’t bother with this place!

So my little 3 year old has been begging for a scooter. Not just any scooter but the mini micro 3 wheeled jobby that you see all preschoolers riding around London on. These suckers aren’t cheap so that is what has held me back. However after weeks of him begging and since we are on foot 98% of the time I figured what the hell. The local toy store was out of stock. We were on a bus going to the huge mall in Shepards Bush when out the window I saw London Joggers. I figured if any place had these things they sure looked like they would. So after the mall we stopped in. Not only did they carry what I wanted. They had tons to choose from, and scooters in all sorts of colors shapes and sizes. They even had a horn for the thing which I promptly bought only to later deeply regret. A 3 year old with a clown horn? Not my brightest moment ever if you know what I mean. Anyway, the scooter is a hit, the staff was super friendly, helpful and nice and it was even a pound or two cheaper than the toy store.
