Friendly coffee place where hipsters gather. Also happens to be in my neighborhood. Serving square mile coffee and good eats by day and some nice craft beers by night it is a solid(if a little pricy) place to be. High quality ingredients are used though. Also received a £20 gift voucher to be used online, but when the item I wanted(square mile coffee beans) were sold out online, one o the owners just told me to come in to the store and get it. Also it to try some different roasts. That’s service. I am not giving it five stars only because there are not many comfortable places to sit. That is what this place lacks-! Also I have never used their bike service or gone to any of their events. Overall highly recommended for coffee and hangout.

Nice place to get some work done. Very cool vibe with all of the bikes and bike equipment hanging up. I ordered some yogurt with granola and fruit and a latte. It took surprisingly long, although I appreciated that the yogurt parfait wasn’t already premade. I really enjoyed the latte. I went around 9 am on a Thursday. The staff seemed overworked and weren’t friendly.

A very very very cool bicycle and coffee/food/hangout café bar in the very very very cool district of Clerkenwell. I popped here a couple of times for coffees while staying and working close by and the beans were right on the money, served up by very friendly staff. The general vibe is rough, ready, relaxing — just a great place overall. Great music too. I did pop in on the last day of my visit to grab a very tasty organic sausage and avocado roll — lovely sausage and bread, just be careful if you’re in a rush and want it to go as it probably took about 15 mins to come out. Not their fault — just a heads up if you’re in a rush as everything is cooked fresh. I’m not massively into bikes so I’ll let some other reviewers tell you about that side of the business ;-)

To begin with. I love the name! First thought it’s a bike repair shop only, but entering it. you’ll be like WoW this is a super cozy café, too! Delicious sandwiches, quiches and hot drinks are waiting for you. Prices are very london style, but I got over that shock already. Nice atmosphere in a very special place!

«Look mum, no hands». I still remember shouting that to my mum when I was 11 and her shrieked reply of «Bethany, watch what you’re doing!» — the look of horror on her face. Today however, no horror, no screaming but instead a unusual yet intriguing bike shop/café which has become infamous throughout Europe. We walked in and grabbed a table. We were here for a brainstorming session so we were looking for a relaxed work/lunch space and this place definitely fitted the bill! As you enter you can’t help but stare at the different bikes on the roof and the quirky but simple interior. The food menu is varied and quite particular(in regards to salads — no fruit on my salad please) but the spread is vast and presented well on top of the counter and in the fridge. The woman behind the counter was slightly grumpy if I’m honest and not very warming but I ordered my food and grabbed a seat! I opted for the avocado/guacamole and wild mushroom on toast and the mushroom frittata topped with chorizo. I was hungry. The avocado and wild mushrooms on toast was truly delicious! There was a hint of lime running through the avocado and it complimented the mushrooms perfectly! As for the frittata, I liked it, I didn’t love it — it became very samey very quickly and I found it slightly dull in flavour. Overall though I had a truly pleasant experience at Look mum, no hands and really enjoyed our session there. OH and don’t forget they have a bike shop for all you cycling enthusiasts out there!

Tadaaaaa: «Look Mum No Hands!»

Go for brekky or lunch, and order the salmon, avocado, scrambled eggs and toast. So so good! The matcha latte is perfection too. If you go for brunch, get there between 12−1pm to get a seat without waiting in line. There’s plenty of seats inside and outside too but it does get quite busy after 1! You can also come here to get your wheels fixed or to stock up on quality cycle gear. This place is rad!

Another great pit stop for those of you brave enough to take on the cars & buses of the city on two wheels. LMNH has a couple of locations around East London, but this smaller café is probably one of my favorites. They have a mini bike-hospital attached just to the side of the café entrance should you have any malfunctions you need looking at. The food is great, with a selection of cakes, pastries, salads and yummy hot food(great for breakfast) — they do a mean cup of coffee and offer cool cycling related events and workshops too.

This place has great atmosphere and good coffee. It’s nice to sit out for brunch on the weekend and tends to attract a very chilled out crowd. Removed a star because the food can be a bit hit-and-miss. Great smoothies though.

This place is in Alex’s list of great spots to have coffee and today, I had the chance to taste it myself. They have free wi-fi here, and I’m writing this on my laptop while taking little sips of sweetness. My mocca is very warm and creamy, but I can’t wait for it to cool down until I drink. The place has a lovely interior that makes you feel comfy and relaxed. It is quiet and almost empty at such an early hour, but this way I can focus on work and enjoy my morning. I also tried their freshly baked croissant with butter and jam which gave me even more strength to start the week. Having this place in my area, I already know I’ll be back soon.

Atmosphere: 5 food: 3 Total: 4 LMNH is a a quirky little hipster café/bicycle supply ship to go to. Walking by it it stood out as a great place to grab a late breakfast. The atmosphere is seriously amazing. Very chill. I sat outside on a wooden table looking out towards the road but in their beautiful looking courtyard. I caught great vibes from the place. The food on the other hand wasn’t that great. I’m not a butter person, and most of my food just tasted like butter and the sourdough bread was soaked in butter.

Great coffee, certainly stronger than I’m used to in the U.S. I got a mocha and the flavor was smooth and delicious. The atmosphere is interesting with bikers constantly coming and going. It’s definitely a place for hipsters to be. The outdoor area is very focused on the biking aspect while the inside provides ample seating and a warm spot to grab some breakfast. The menu is pretty standard for coffee shops, equivalent to that of Starbucks or Costa. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an off-beat café.

Out of all the London coffee shops I’ve visited, LMNH is by far my favorite. LMNH is a coffee shop/bike co-op that offers delicious meals, snacks, and other goodies. As soon as you walk in, you are surrounded by a range of bicycle accessories and supplies they sell; if I were a cyclist, I would definitely make this part of my daily route. During my visit, I ordered an Earle Gray tea and a raspberry tart. The tea came with it’s own pot and a side of milk. I really enjoyed the tea, however they make it a tad stronger than what I am used to. I asked the gentleman behind the counter what pastry he would recommend and he asked me a series of questions which resulted in me ordering the raspberry tart. I would definitely recommend it! I love the amble seating, natural lighting, and friendly service. I saw many people enjoying breakfast entrees, so the next time I’m in town, I am definitely making this my breakfast spot! I brought a book with me during my last visit, but I can see myself doing work or meeting a friend up for coffee/tea.

This place is super popular for a reason. Really good and healthy(if you want something healthy) café food, almost always room to sit(it’s pretty big), working WiFi, nice fixtures and décor. A really good place to sit and work or meet friends.

In my quest to find creative spaces to work, behold… Look Mum No Hands! This quirky little café-slash-bicycle supply shop gives new meaning to the term biker bar. With bicycles adorning its main window facing Old Street, to bike racks and benches out front, to the bicycle repair and supplies shop inside, it’s hipster to the 10th power But I’m from San Francisco so we pretty much invented hipsters. Aside from your usual coffee-latte-chai selection, you can grub on salad, quiches and light snacks. I had a goat cheese quiche with salad that was light and tasty — with cherry tomatoes and sweet potatoes drizzled in vinaigrette. Order at the counter and they bring your order to you. When you’re a freelancer like me, you’ll appreciate what I believe to the BEST part: Outlets can be found along the couches, which is also the best place to prop open your laptop. Give me couch, a power outlet and some food and good luck trying to get rid of me! Side note: No wifi from 11 – 4 Saturday and Sunday and from 11 – 2 Monday to Friday.

Ah what can I say. Mostly, they took care of my bike and got it back to me in great condition. Labour was less than I thought it would be as well! I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my bike back there anytime. The food and coffee is decent, but somewhat expensive.

This is an all-around fabulous coffee/bike shop with yummy eats, cool vibe, and impressive space(for London, that is!). After several visits, I’ve found that the flat whites can be hit-or-miss depending on the barista, but in general, it’s decent. I haven’t gone for the bike service because I don’t own a bike, but it seems like a neat place for cyclists to not only get their bikes serviced but also to congregate for regular cycle rides through the city. NOW. Onto the really important thing: the GUINNESSCHOCOLATECAKE. I’ve had quite a few versions of a guinness chocolate cake and LMNH has, hands down, THE best one. I don’t know what they put in it, but the flavour fills your senses with the divine mix of guinness and chocolate. The texture is moist, and there’s always the right amount of cream. Just writing about it makes my mouth water and my craving shoot of the wazoo. OK, calming down now. The other cakes are actually very good as well, so even if they didn’t have the guinness chocolate cake there, you’ll have other great options. I am intending to try the food some time, especially since their selection of drinks is pretty attractive. Fab place to relax, work, or meet up with friends — definitely recommend!(especially a certain cake of theirs…)

This bike café is like the quintessential hipster bike café. Don’t let the h-word put you off though. It actually does what it says on the tin. Well, I mean wait, they are using their hands to make the amazing coffee and delicious food, I just mean… nevermind. The cute name is a throwback to childhood years pootling about on your bike with no stabilisers, probably right before you graze both your knees and elbows. Ah, memories. The café itself has that nice homely feel. It’s clean, but has that ‘messiness’ that comes with a really well-worn café. No Swedish-style minimal interior. Instead, bike clothes and gears and gadgets are right next to the till which is adorned with heaps of sweet treats, above which a chalk menu calls out the lunchtime salad offerings which sound so healthy and wholesome I could probably cycle for hours after a plate of them. The staff are really friendly(so, in that way they’re not hipster actually). Like super friendly, considering it was so busy. Happy for me to keep a tab open as my friends arrived. I really like it here. And when I’m next back in London, I’ll pootle by here for some coffee and cake for sure. Ding ding!

This just about edges out Workshop Coffee to be the best in the area. Bright space and Internet clinches it — plus the quality of their phenomenal flat white never varies. Breakfast is excellent, although the one time I did eat in the evening it was actually awful… Not sure if that was a one off. The bicycle thing is legit, even though it might feel über hipster. Just roll with it. On a final note, they also stock fantastic beer! The Kernel IPA is one of my favourites.
