I finally found my go-to tapas restaurant! Best tapas I have had outside of Spain. I made reservations for 8:30pm on a Saturday because I had been told this family owned Spanish restaurant gets massively busy, and they were right. From the moment we walked in, people flowed in and out, each greeted warmly by the staff. We had a bit of everything: chorizo in wine, Padron peppers, pulpo(octopus with paprika), gambas(prawns), patatas bravas, tomato salad(made just like they do in Barcelona), grilled sardines with fresh squeezed lemon, and albondigas(meatballs). My favourite were the anchovies in vinegar, topped with bits of garlic. I never would’ve thought I loved anchovies until I started travelling to Spain. My GOD, this place is legit. We finished with crema Catalana which is just as good as I have had in Barca, and they even had arroz con leech which made me so nostalgic thinking about my childhood. It was creamy and cinnamony sweet just like my grandma used to make. I love this place so much.

Perfect scallops. Perfect asparagus with parmesan. Nice house wine. Enchanting décor. Fast, attentive, friendly service. What’s to not like?

This is tough, I wanted to go 5 stars as some things here were really very amazing and the service was excellent. I bet if I could be a «regular» here instead of just going twice while on vacation I wold bump them up, but lets say 4.5 stars between you and me. Just a couple of dishes that were off. The fact that I had dinner here twice while in London for a week should tell you enough right there no matter what the«star» ratting is. Service was very friend and helpful. So a plus right there. The favorite things for sure was the baby eels. I’ve never had these, heard about them and had to try and very happy I did. The texture is like a good pasta, but with a good garlic and fish undertones, in a good way. Nicely done and I’m sure a tricky ingredient to work with. Other stables like Sardines and anchovies were great. The white bean stew is excellent. Also they had a blood sausage special while we were there and that was excellent as well. Even if you are not a blood sausage fan, these were very approachable and flavorful. The tomato salad really works or doesn’t based on how good the tomatoes are, so keep that in mind and what the season is. But they were yummy while we were there. Also, had a special scallops dish, which just didn’t work. it was like an asian sweet chili sauce was on the shallops and it was just odd. Also, stay away form the fried sweet potatoes. I know other people have commented on the patties bravas, I didn’t have them, but looking at other tables who did made me glad I didn’t. But there are so many other good things on the menu, it really doesn’t matter. Get something you’ve not tried and maybe you’ll have a new favorite. Wine list had some nice things and reasonably priced as well. I know I’ll be back anytime in London, so why don’t you go give it a try?

A very nice spanish restaurant with a homey feel. I am not a big fan of spanish food as it tends to be heavy on my stomach, but I found quite a few«lighter» tapas. There is an excellent choice of seafood, meat and vegetarian tapas. I ordered a green salad, which came as a pretty hefty portion and was very fresh and yummy; and baby squid cooked in wine and its own ink. The squid was delicious — I would come back just for a meal of squid, salad, some bread and maybe a glass of sangria. My American friends didn’t like the squid and the very black and sticky appearance of the dish — I’m from Croatia and we have a dish called black risotto(made from squid and its ink), so it may be an acquired taste(my tip: try it!). There were a bunch of other tapas that I sampled which were all very tasty — assortment of cheeses, marinated anchovies with black olives, patatas braves(which were baked, not fried, so they were light). Sangria was also nice, as was the bite of a chocolate cake I stole from my boyfriend’s plate. I will probably come back to explore the menu further.

When my flatmate and I moved into our flat in Brook Green, we both simultaneously squealed, «Did you see the tapas restaurant around the corner?! It looks so cute!» … and Los Molinos hasn’t yet disappointed us. This restaurant is owned and run by a Spanish family, which adds to the authenticity of the place. The menu at Los Molinos is wonderfully varied, incredibly tasty, and moderately priced. I particularly enjoyed the paella and almost always order the Batatas Fritas con Salsa Dulce(lightly fried sweet potatoes with a sweet salsa dip). Another highlight is their Filloa Rellena, a delicate pancake filled with chicken and spinach. Delicious. The only thing I wish this place had was sangria, but otherwise it’s a solid choice if you’re in the mood for tapas!

If patatas bravas at «La Tasca» is your kind of tapas, then don’t read on. If, however, you have a taste for authentic, clean, delicious Spanish cooking then Los Moliños is well worth a visit. Run almost entirely by Spanish staff, this place has a real family or «local town» feel. The dishes on the menu are sourced from all over Spain — they’re not tying you to any one region here. So, if one of you fancies the exotic cumin-tinged food of the Moorish south, and another the more wholesome, haricot-rich stews of the north then both can be happily satisfied and still find lots of common ground in the great choice of fish, vegetable and meat dishes these guys do. My wife and I have eaten her twice together now, and she a further 3 or 4 times with friends. We eat out a lot in London — one of the things we love most about this city is its diverse food culture — and this place is well up the list of local favourites.

Food is good although the patatas bravas still need a bit of spicing up. The wine was spot on although one of their cheaper options. Service could do with a bit of attention but the busy, crowded atmosphere makes this more part of the charm. Prices are reasonable.

Good choice on the menu but a shame the chef can’t cook. Tough calamari, patatas bravas that were no more fancy than boiled potatoes in bland tomato soup, stodgy croquettes, tasteless other morsels that were entirely forgettable. Oh and expensive white asparagus straight from a tin and plonked on your plate, and even the olives were foul. Certainly not worth the av. £7 per dish price tag. Pretty pathetic to be honest. Stupidly, we ordered pudding only to be served a traditional crème caramel, in which the sugar had been burnt so it was disgusting and bitter. I certainly wouldn’t bother going here again. Shame, because the atmosphere and service was good, but at the end of the day, it’s the food that counts

I tried this little place out with a few friends who were not familiar with tapas and who I was trying to win over to the cause! We were not disappointed with Los Molinos, and I left with a group of tapas converts! The floor space, as has been mentioned, is tiny, and this did cause us a minor problem even on a Tuesday night, so if you are planning a group trip to this place, and you really should, then phone beforehand to book no matter what day of the week it is. The décor is warm and homely, I particularly liked the massive wine map of Spain! My personal favourite, chorizo al vino, was fantastic here, with just the right amount of Rioja wine and big, succulent chunks of chorizo. Our various fish dishes, including prawns and salmon, all tasted incredibly good, as did the albondigas. I was a little disappointed that they go down the ‘fries and sauce from a bottle’ route with patatas bravas, but given the quality of the other food, I was prepared to forgive and move on. The wine list looked good, but we went for jug after jug of delicious sangria, and I am very pleased that we did! All in all, this is an absolutely lovely restaurant, and I cannot wait to go back.

This is the best tapas I’ve had in London. It’s small and crowded, with a handful of upstairs tables and a downstairs that’s surprisingly bright(thanks to some effective use of windows). The décor is just Spanish enough without being over-the-top. The staff that runs the place is all very obviously Spanish as well. The food was delicious. The marinated manzanilla olives tasted sweet and buttery. The calamares a la plancha were tender and juicy, and the grilled sardines crisp and yummy. The chorizo al vino, escalivada, and pan con tomate were all very tasty too. We got both the specials they had — one potatoes with chorizo, the other some sort of omelette — and they were both excellent. For dessert I had a tarta de santiago. Wine list was good. I don’t remember what bottle our table ordered(and quickly consumed), but it was very nice. The full food and wine menu is available on their website. Service was very good, friendly and quick. Four of us ate until we were full, shared a bottle of wine, all had dessert, and two of us had coffees. It came to £20 each, service included. That’s not bad. The quality of food was superb. Go now!

What this establishment lacks in floor space it more than makes up in its preparation and presentation of food. Los Molinos has charming décor with pretty wooden furniture, Salmon Pink walls and a delightful collection dainty collectibles. There are 60 dishes on the menu all lovingly recreated here from Spain and there is a mixture of the old and the new to select from. Most important the food is really fresh, properly cooked and very delicious. We started of with the extra lenght of Ham Croquettes which had chunks of Red Peppers inside-a very nice combination giving it quite a twist from the traditional. A bowl of Chickpeas and Spinach came in a hearty Cumin scented broth and was eaten really quickly. Gambas al agillo(plump succulent Prawns) in a rich Garlicky sauce came next. But the best of all was the revuelto of baby Eels, Artichokes, Red-Peppers and Mushrooms: one of the best Tapas we have tried in a long time.
