I live just down the street from Lyndons, and I find myself ending up there for last minute stationary needs, and each time I regret it — only because this place is WAY overpriced! I had to scan my passport onto a USB drive, one scan, one page, £2! What the heck. This is just an example. They do have a lot of stationary items, but if you have the time, find another place and save big bucks.

I really like new pens. Of course no one needs pens anymore so I just buy them to open things that come in those impenetrable plastic cases — biros have really strong nibs. Anyway, this place does a lot of them. They also sell cards and paints, all sorts of art supplies and there are services too, photocopying, laminating and the like. They do plenty of kid friendly colouring-in sets, books and cards as well. So, basically they’ve got the farty bit of arty covered.(Not saying your kids are farty obv.) Good place and the staff there are always pretty eager to help — all in all, well stoked and well looked after.

An independently run art/stationery shop, Lyndons is chocked full of great art and paper supplies. I first went there in urgent need of a special-sized frame for a enlarged photo(for a party that was starting in, of course, about 10 minutes), and although they didn’t carry exactly what I needed, the staff went out of their way to help me find an alternative way to present the photo. After that, I always pop in here if I need something art-related(even if I can find it elsewhere).

When you are an art or design student this is the kind of place that saves the day. They have all you might need in the areas of stationary, photocopies, and also material for painting, drawing, sketching. I like that it’s not a chain, and that the people that work there are so helpful and nice.
