Unfortunately after three months of waiting
delivered my lamp to completely the wrong address. The website claimed 2 weeks to delivery and I confirmed my address online a number of times! Really not great and I’ve now read lots of negative reviews all over the Internet. I imagine the products are fine but you have to deliver them properly too!

Visiting Made in Notting Hill is certainly a thrill. Their products? Not so much.
Josy A has very ably summed up the experience of perusing the showroom here. I might add that as no purchase is necessary, paying a visit is worth it simply for the views across London alone.
The products are less impressive. Having tried out several sofas, my girlfriend and I bought a couple. Sure, they look the part, but bizarrely are more comfortable for lying on than sitting on. Their foam cushions slowly but steadily slip off the sofa, requiring constant resetting. Worse of all is a design fault which makes it impossible to retrieve anything which slips through the cushions and into the sofa itself. Most sofas have material between seat and back rest preventing anything slipping — these have a gaping hole instead. I have to actively ensure my mobile and the TV remote stay some distance from the black hole of no return.
So disappointing are these sofas that I’m tempted to 1 star Made. As they have at least stayed together structurally and seem quite strong, I’m generously awarding two stars instead. But I wouldn’t buy from Made again.

I have my eye on some of the beautifully designed furniture online @Made.com (especially the sofas) BUT buying furniture can be expensive… and I didn’t want to shell out so much money without sitting down to check if I would sink comfily into the sofa or not. However this place is the solution. You can work out what you’d like to buy online, and then just visit this showroom to ask questions and see the furniture before you click ‘buy.‘
How to get in:
It is located in an ugly looking tower block right outside Notting Hill Gate station. You have to sign in on a screen on the ground floor (giving them your name and a contact e-​mail address.) After you’ve given your details, the screen gives you a key code to allow you through a yellow door to reach the lift. While you wait for the lift, look up! They have glued all sorts of model versions of their furniture to the ceiling :)
Once you’ve made it to the ninth floor:
— Have a look around! It was really busy when I visited so you might have to share sofas with other happy furniture buyers
— You can take postcards and material samples of each item (so you can check if it matches your décor/​will fit into your home!)
— Look out the windows! There are lovely views over West London
— Be happily surprised by the prices!
Staff:
— If you have questions, ask! The lady i spoke to was waaaaay friendlier than any of the other furniture shops I visited. She was genuinely enthusiastic about their products, but in a helpful way (rather than a i-​need-​commission-​so-​please-​buy-​this-​now type way)
I must have been to more than ten furniture shops today, but this was easily the most pleasant experience.
