It was to be frank a big hot mess. I have given two stars as the service was pretty good. The food was one star though. We ordered two different kinds of pancakes-one with egg, bacon, sausage and mushroom(Supertramp) and the other just bacon. I asked the server if the bacon was«crispy» and he assured me it was. When the three plates arrived I could see fatty, greasy very limp bacon sticking out of mine. The pancakes had already been doused in maple syrup and, given the amount of fat thrown from the bacon shoved inside, it tasted greasy. Pancakes had a chewy and doughy consistency and not at all like they should be(light in texture). My wives«stack» had the same problems. Delving into the interior of my own stack I discovered a large mushroom and some sausage-Lincolnshire I guess-that looked like it had been boiled. I asked for my bacon to be taken away and made crispy. However, seconds later I didn’t want to eat the rest of it. The bacon was returned and was a bit crispier I guess. Service was good, but when I mentioned the pancakes I was told this is how they are done in America-I beg to differ. I was asked if I wanted anything in exchange. I asked for a single pancake and syrup. At the end, without asking, a pancake was removed from the bill which was professional and nice. The guy seemed slightly mortified that we didn’t like it. I had no complaint about service and we left a tip. The low down: The pancakes are not authentic and are stodgy in consistency. They were way too greasy(my wife had about 7 – 8 rashers of streaky bacon!-grease is indeed the word! Maple syrup should NOT be put onto a stack of pancakes and greasy bacon! It just makes it more wet and stodgy. The customer should be given syrup on the side-how does the chef know how much customers want on their pancakes? Finally, it this was served in America the syrup would be on the side and WARM so it doesn’t cool the pancake. It wasn’t. Maggies other stuff may be good. I don’t know. I do know the pancakes were most definitely not good.

Good food. Went for lunch and had the granola-tasty but not homemade. Eggs Benny was delicious and the bloody Mary’s hit the spot. Would come back to try the milkshakes or during their happy hour for some 2 for 1 cocktails!

Lovely place in Ealing for drinks and food. We started with some reasonably priced cocktails(very reasonable with 241 from 5−8pm even ok a weekend). These were a little slow in coming but probably because we ordered just before 8 — when everyone wants in on the deal. I had a mushroom flatbread in which all the ingredients combined perfectly — very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food in fact. Good music and atmosphere. Hate to criticise the service because it was very friendly but they were perhaps a bit slow. We will be back to try out some more of the menu for sure!

Pancakes, milkshakes, beer, 80s and 90s music. Maggie’s is my kind of place. It may have been the fact that childhood fave ‘Ordinary World’ by Duran Duran started as we sat down. It may have been the chortle-inducing, musically-inspired menu(highlighting their 2 for 1 burger deal with ‘You’re un-believe-a-burger’; calling their bacon & maple syrup pancakes ‘Bryan Adams’). Or it may have been the fact that Maggie’s clearly tries hard to be fun, interesting and professional. The pancakes weren’t the best I’ve had, but they were freshly made, generously portioned and looked the part. Darn filling too. Likewise, the ‘craft beer’ menu was limited and somewhat disbelievingly included Heineken next to Sierra Nevada, Brooklyn and Camden, but hey, it was there. My girlfriend’s ‘The King’ peanut butter-infused milkshake on the other hand was comfortably above average. The ‘vintage’ theme is confined to one quarter of the restaurant, but again, I’m glad it was there. The service meanwhile was friendly, quick and happy to replenish our water. I could easily see myself returning here if I were to find myself in Ealing Broadway in search of brunch or a burger.

The Breakfasts at Maggies and the milkshakes are the best hangover cure ever. So delicious, great atmosphere and very sympathetic staff!

I came here for a few drinks a few Fridays back whilst visiting London. It’s not the type of bar I typically frequent but the drinks we had were good and my friends really like it. We arrived around 8:30pm so it was on the quieter side, it’s definitely a good starting place for a night out but not a place to stay all night. My friends had me on the espresso martinis while in London so we had one here, they’re a little frothier than most places but still good. I also enjoyed a captain morgan spiced rum and diet coke. I would say this is more of a day place and I think if I came here for breakfast I would end up rating their food with 5 stars. Their breakfast menu looked absolutely fabulous and they seem to have a big presence for breakfast on a Sunday. Being a «diner» type of atmosphere they of course offer fabulous shakes, coke & root beer floats, burgers and they have quite a few options for kids also. Quaint spot that’s good for breakfast, lunch and a fun cocktail.
