Mail Boxes Etc. London – Notting Hill

In 2014, I used this location to ship home a majority of my belongings after finishing graduate school. The service I received was not bad at all. The staff were understanding of my wishes, took time to explain the services, and packed my belongings. The prices were not outrageous. I would have rated this location with 3 stars in 2014 for my experience.
I was recently on vacation in London, and staying in Notting Hill. I purchased several items and wanted to ship them home as they were larger and heavier. I walked in to the business as the only customer there, and I had to be ask to be helped. The staff were rude and inconsistent. They were not taking caution with my belongings. One box came to 17kg which seemed like a lot, and it was going to cost 200 pounds for the slowest method. I shipped more items in 2014 in one box, and it cost me less than 70 pounds. It did not add up even with considering increased freight costs, labor hours, etc. When I questioned the cost, staff told me there were no other options and told me to continue filling out the paperwork.
I took my belongings back, did not say goodbye. I ended up paying the overweight baggage fee which was significantly less than what they quoted me.
Do not go to this location. You will be treated badly. It is a rip off.

Do you want to send anything in the post? Like, anything. Is there anything that you need to send, to anyone? Well, if that’s the case, then this shop fills the specific niche in the market to satisfy that need. Perfectly. But for me, in itself, that doesn’t make it that good.
So they sell a lot of boxes. A professional array of boxing is sold here. They’ll ship antiques, should you want an antique for Christmas, which needs shipping. They’ll do things like ‘phone-​in’ mail checks whatever they are. They do highlight ebay in the window, and I suppose, if you are in need of sending something on ebay, then this’d be ideal. Basically, they do cover the sending of things really well, but really, it’s not the kind of place I see myself needing a lot…
