This is a very authentic Schezuan restaurant /takeaway, they have loads of the«local dishes» one would expect to have if you know your Schezuan. It is quite hidden, not on the high street and tuck away some where behind Canary Wharf, but local residents know where it is and so do Schezuan lovers. However whilst I was gearing up myself for some hot spicy food action, ice cold green tea, all vera and water. Unfortunately the food fell to deliver. Its a shame had such high hopes. I have been to a few Schezuan places, so I don’t expect fine dining, and its given, these sort of restaurants are good if you are coming in groups, because the spicy pots are so huge. The décor is not enticing and sit down experience is close to that if you were eating at a canteen. But those thing never really matter when eating at an authentic Schezuan restaurant. In the end it’s village food and its the Schezuan way. So food, as it is my first time here, bring on the dishes, tried at least a dish from each category, and although the spicypot had some sort of kick, everything else unfortunately was quite average in taste, and mild in spice. Some dishes were not given enough time to marinade, and therefore tasted bland as you really into them. Overall its OK, probably give it another go, but not right away.

Dinner and 3 hours of karaōke for £35 per person. So, we came here for karaōke and were additionally served dinner, with iced tea included(I think). It seems like they have or 3 karaōke rooms, and each room can fit maybe 8 – 12 people. Though, the rooms are rather small. Anyway, for food we had: 1. Egg drop soup, which was really good. 2. Lamb stuff, ok. 3. Whole Fish thing, quite spicy, and since it was a whole fish, there were bones to deal with. 4. And more. Obviously, I wasn’t paying very much attention to the food, but overall it was decent. I would assume most of their food is not too bad, and more on the authentic side, rather than westernized. As for the karaōke, there is a huge library of songs to choose from. Most of the songs are in Mandarin(as is the karaōke machine), but there are quite a number of English songs as well. They had hits like«Never gonna give you up» by Rick Astley and«My heart will go on» by Celin Dion. They do have more recent music, as well, such as Rihana songs. Decent experience, but a little expensive, I thought.
