The park is really cool and there is something for everyone. It’s very family and kids friendly and has dedicated children playground and grassed areas. The grassed area becomes the place for outdoor cinema during the summer and there is a monthly farmer’s market right next to it. There is a separate area for dogs, 2 tennis courts, a big lake with greedy and fat geese and a fountain in the middle and a café which also serves food. Right next to the café are the toilets so if you decide to enjoy a cheaper drink bought from nearby Sainsbury’s(Lee Green) you can use them. When the weather is nice, you can sunbathe, have a picnic or celebrate a birthday on the grassed area, it is big enough to enjoy the day without entering other people’s personal space. The only annoyance is the sight of people who throw their cigarette butts on the grass.

Took my sister and brother-in-law here a while back. It reminded me of how good it is. Lots of yummy mummies cos lee green is a bit of a nappy valley now but it’s great for lying around in the sun, walking a dog, having a coffee or visiting the great old manor house library. The park used to belong to the people that ran leeson bank. Didn’t they have something to do with the recession. Nice to see their back garden full of locals.

My local park I’m proud to say. Neat and tidy with a tearoom and swing park. Also, a beautiful library!

This for me has proven to be one of the best places to be since we’ve experienced some beautifully hot Summer days of late, including today! The Park is well maintained; large and welcoming to all — what impresses me each time I visit is the variety of people it attracts and what they /we all do there. There are people of all age groups; couples; families; groups of friends; youngsters playing; people like me reading their books or listening to music. It’s fantastic and and friendly too, people actually talk to each other here — shocking! I can’t recommend the Park enough, I love it and am so proud it’s only a quick stroll from my place!

This park is an exceedingly well-kept secret in south-east London. Absolutely pristine and beautiful. There is a large grassy area for sitting or playing in, a lake with geese and ducks(and the occasional heron) a small conservation area, two tennis courts, a football area, a playground and a superb café(with toilets) with about 60 different sandwiches, baguettes, crepes and jacket potatoes to choose from. There are outdoor and indeoor seating areas and the prices are very reasonable from about £2.50 £5. A bit of a find!

Great park! There’s a grand building at the top of the park, which houses a very modern library. Inside the park, there’s a café which serves some basic sandwiches, soups, and pastries as well as a range of drinks. Very child-friendly — its always filled with kids running around on the weekends. There’s a lake in the middle of the park. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more lively and kid-friendly park in the area!

This truly deserves a 5 star rating. It is a beautiful park and it has a great atmosphere. Everyone of all ages can enjoy using this park(myself included). It is particularly popular with young families. The kids love the ducks and geese at the pond. There is a lovely play area for the children and nice café next to it. There are toilets available too, and all of the facilities are maintained well. I am really looking forward to Manor House Library re-opening after over a year of refurbishment, because it would be another good reason to visit Manor House Gardens next door.

This is such a beautiful little park — another hidden gem in Lewisham. It was recently refurbished — to quote the website A successful bid to the Heritage Lottery Board has enabled the restoration of the gardens and its built facilities. Works included the re-establishment of the original vistas from the Manor House, the introduction of a walled flower garden, the restoration of the lake and installation of a fountain. In addition the original ice-house has been restored and is open to the public on request. Other new features include a popular cafeteria, multi-sports ball court and tennis courts as well as a children’s playground. It’s truly lovely — great playground, a wonderful café that also sells handmade wooden toys, a farmer’s market every first Sunday of the month and a lovely duckpond. Perfect for riding bikes and scooters. The café is situated right next to the playground so the grown ups can sip cappucino while watching the little uns on the swings, slides and climbing frames. Also recommend the crepes — yummy! I can’t believe it’s took me so long to find it. A real gem.
