This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in London and I would warn you away from ever eating here. Our party of four arrive and sat down to order food and drinks. We ordered a jug of cocktail to share and started to order food when the waiter insisted that we had to order off the party set two-course menu. We let home know we wanted to order a la carte as the set menu is very limited in starters and mains. After finally agreeing to let us order from the normal menu, the waiter was being uncooperative and inconsiderate. He actually stormed away from the table after only taking the order of two of us. We had to call over a different server and let them know we were disgusted with his attitude and to cancel our food. And let the, know we weren’t going to stay for food. After finishing our cocktails, we asked for the bill and the server came over with a bill that was £23 for the jug that on the menu was £16.50. We decided not to fight again with him, and so paid the higher amount and got ready to leave. At this point the server came and confronted us over not including any service on the bill. I told him that his unprofessional manner plus walking away from us with only half our order was horrible service and pointed out that he had already overcharged us for the cocktails. He then said«would you do this in your own country?» At which point I informed him that I’ve lived in the uk over ten years and have never been so disgusted by service in a restaurant. I urge nobody to ever go to this establishment.

Recommended! I would give this place 3.5−4. Accidentally came across this place. The food is better than we thought! The restaurant looks fun and a bit different. Decent Mexican food and over all a not bad experience, the down side would be location is such an effort to get to from central, having said that, it is easy to find(on main road and u can’t miss the weird crazy decorations!) The price is not as cheap as you thought given the fact this place is not in soho or Camden… But still good for a random dinner once in a while. They also do some happy hours deals?! I say give this place a shot!

so-so apps(1 – 2 stars), but stick to the entrees(3 – 4 stars), generous and zesty dishes — good service

this is the second disappointing experience I have had at this restaurant, we actually gave this place a second chance.(NOTMYCHOICE) and this time I could not resist but review it. How on earth the other two reviews are rated 5 stars i have no idea, this place has half decent décor… i say that very carefully as its actually a bit poor with«quilt covers» covering the seats to make it look like cows leather? this is annoying as every time you stand up you pull it off the seat and have to re-adjust it… also the starters are very very bland and boring, i had the calamari which wasn’t the best, wouldn’t recommend it, the deep fried mushrooms with sauce don’t go well together and are bland and not very nice either, the only tempting dish out of 12 of us was the ribs, these were tasty due to the sauce and in fairness had a half decent amount of meat on them for a starter. do not order the corn on the cob… litterally a piece of corn… with two cobs to hold onto it… no butter was served with it… very dry and bland… very dissapointing!!! the mains were slightly better with the rib eye being of a half decent size(havent seen as much fat on a rib eye before so makes me wonder if it actually is) this was under cooked, asked for medium to well done… and still had pink flesh and blood, not as much as a rare, but no more than a medium for sure. another main — the mexican cactus salad, that was definatley a huge salad … thats all it was really, a quarter of a avocado and copious mozarella. not the nicest mozzarella very mushy cheap styled mozzarella. the piri piri chicken baquet was a bit of a joke… there was not a SINGLE spice in it… there was no heat in this chicken at all although the actual chicken was really nice this is also not the cheapest restaurant with many of our party thinking it was a little overpriced. when they sing happy birthday they are also very annoying ringing overly loud cow bells into everyones ears. all in all… do not disappointing yourself and the rest of your dining party by trying this restaurant, the only good part is leaving.

«The Mexican» is our favourite bar to head over to when our Battersea pub closes. It’s open late, the staff knows us so we can bypass the under 21 rule, and when I order a single, 3pound gin & tonic, I get a glass full of gin. And some free ribs from the random guy sitting next to me. For all of you regular people… Battersea is about as friendly as it gets. Walk into any of these bars and you will be welcomed with open arms by the drunken residents. The Mexican outfits you with sombreros and fluffy pink cowboys hats, has delicioussss food, and an amazing atmosphere that everyone already knows each other. And soon you will too.

What a remarkable place. Colourful, lively, exciting, cocktails and even a sombrero to wear when eating. Also some great pictures and oddities on the was walls to view whilst eating. There is a downfall to Margarita Loca. The food was truly naff. It wasn’t shocking or awful it was just naff. The starters were straight out of the freezer into the fryer. The mains were just ok and my Ribeye, served by and establishment that advertises best steaks in town(obviously not London Town), was just quite nice. The thing is its cheap to eat and when a place like this does cheap it tastes cheap. Take your mates there for a works party, drink lots, have fun then stop for a takeaway on the way home.

This place is absolutely insane. From the obnoxious, loud music, to the blindingly bright and tacky décor, I expected the whole thing to be a nightmare. Quite wrong was I! Upon arrival I noticed that on top of each menu is sitting a silly hat of some kind. Mexican mariachi hats or pink cowgirl hats with fur trim. You are encouraged to wear these hats while you dine. Which we did, willingly. Looking at our plastic laminated menus I feared the worst for our food. Appearances are apparently deceiving. Each of the three starters we had were great — chili mussles, fresh corn chips with dip, and the ribs were all great. Then I had the enchiladas, which were more like mini-burritos — amazing. Fresh, delicious avocado on top — and real hot sauce on all the tables. A rarity in the UK. Downsides: 1) A bit pricey. 2) A bit out of the way, unless you happen to live in Battersea. But worth the trip. 3) The service was weird. I think we got a first time waiter, cuz he was overly persistent that we order immediately and seemed confused that we wanted to sit and chat for 5 minutes first. Kept giving us the evil eye and returning to the table every 2 minutes. But then when we wanted to pay and leave we couldn’t find him. I’ve been told that the service is normally very good. 4) Two pitchers of fruity margaritas for 3 people will give you a stomachache. Despite these minor drawbacks, it is one of my favorite dining experiences, probably ever. If you don’t mind acting and looking like a fool in the name of delicious eats.
